** Her mother Maria also had one, which Violetta loves to read as a way to feel closer to her. It becomes more important to the plot in season 2 when Esmeralda uses it to learn how to act like Maria.

* ActorAllusion: Before Diego's audition at the studio in Season 2, Beto asks him if he's going to sing Chachi Piruli (the song actor Diego Dominguez sang at Eurojunior in 2003).

From season 2 onwards, Violetta and friends deal with their fame from being featured on the [=YouMix=] website in the second half of season one, whose partnership with the studio also causes it to be rebranded as Studio On Beat. Germán struggles with giving Violetta her freedom but tries his best to support her through her journey. While she continues to deal with [[LoveDodecahedron love triangles]], Violetta will also face new challenges and changes in her life.

After the series ended, a [[TheMovie movie]], titled ''Tini: El gran cambio de Violetta''[[labelnote:*]]"Tini (Stoessel's nickname): The big change of Violetta"[[/labelnote]] (''Tini: The New Life of Violetta'' in English) was first released in France on May 4th, 2016, with the rest of Europe and Latin America getting theatrical releases soon after. Some time after the series finale, Violetta returns from an exhausting world tour and is shaken by rumors surrounding her love life. Germán gives his daughter an invitation to spend some time with a mysterious family friend named Isabella at her house for young artists in Italy. There, she will try and find her true self and inspiration... and [[RunningGag also find herself in another love triangle]]. The film ties in with Stoessel's start of her solo career, and is [[VeryLooselyBasedOnATrueStory inspired]] by her transitioning to a post-''Violetta'' life. It is available on Netflix in the US and Canada, and on Disney+ or HBO Go elsewhere.

* AbsenceMakesTheHeartGoYonder: With Tomás [[spoiler: PutOnABus]] at the end of season 1, Violetta and Francesca, who both had very strong feelings for him, find new love interests in Diego and Marco respectively.

* AbusiveParents: Ludmila's mother Priscila abuses her daughter emotionally, threatens her, and forces her to do things she doesn’t want to do. She also [[spoiler:pushes Violetta, the daughter of her then-partner Germán, down a flight of stairs on the street]].

** Tomás and Francesca date briefly near the end of season 1 before deciding this, as well as Tomás' lingering feelings towards Violetta and Francesca's [[ClingyJealousGirl jealousy]].

** Season 3, Episode 60: [[spoiler: Jade is in the process of closing the studio after she discovers that German still has feelings for Angie, despite his relationship with Priscila. León and Violetta, after over half a season of fighting, share a kiss during a music video shooting.]]

* CoverVersion: ''Ahí Estare'' in season 1, which was from ''Cuando Toca la Campana''.

** When León asks Violetta, disguised as Roxy, to sing a song for him, her solution is to sing a song in English to try and not blow her cover. The English dub opted to keep the song in question in English and only retained her reasoning that it would be a song that León isn't familiar with.

* [[FirstGirlWins First Guy Wins]]: Averted. Tomás was the first boy Violetta fell in love with and the first one introduced, but Violetta ultimately ends up with León. However, this seemingly wasn't always going to be the case (See WhatCouldHaveBeen on the trivia page for more).

* GoldDigger: Matias and Jade. Matias actually pushes Jade into a marriage with Germán [[OnlyInItForTheMoney so they can share his income]], and then does it again in season 3 with Nicolas.

** León went out with Ludmila before she fell in love with Tomás and he fell in love with Violetta. Violetta is in love with both León and Tomás. Francesca loves Tomás, but he likes her only as a friend. Along with Camila, she also had a crush on Broduey for some time, though. In Season 2, we have Lara, who likes León too, and Diego, who will fight for Violetta [[spoiler: after Tomás is PutOnABus]]. Season 3 brings us Clement, who likes Violetta after she helps him get in the studio, and Gery, who falls in love with León after he helps her land a job at Gregorio's new dance studio, Art Rebel. Somewhere along the way, Violetta accidentally catches the interest of León [[TwoPersonLoveTriangle while masquerading as Roxy]].
** And for the ''adults'', Jade is engaged to Germán [[GoldDigger so she and Matias can steal his money]], but he can't stop thinking of Angie, who Pablo and Rafa Palmer are also interested in during season 1. Eventually in season 2, Pablo gets over his feelings for Angie when he meets Jackie, whom Beto also has feelings for, while Germán falls in love with Esmeralda, an actress paid by Jade and Mati in a complicated scheme, leaving Angie alone... And when season 3 comes around, Jade is still hung up on Germán, who has fallen for Priscila, but catches the attention of Nicolas.

* MeetCute: Tomás and Violetta in the very first episode, where he catches her when she trips in the mud. Called back to in the second to last episode of season 1 when they have their BigDamnKiss.

* MultinationalTeam: Tomás, Diego, and Naty are Spanish. León, Marco, and Gery are Mexican. Francesca, her brother Luca, and Federico are Italian. Broduey is Brazilian. Clement/Alex is French. Braco is from a country that [[TheUnreveal he never really gets the chance to say]]. All the other main characters are Argentinian.

* MySisterIsOffLimits: Luca is very defensive when it comes to someone wanting to date Francesca. Same goes for Andrés when it comes to his sister.

* ObliviousToLove: Tomás, to Francesca.

** León, to Gery.

** We also never find out with what happens to the boy band project sponsored by the studio that León and his friends were going to participate in near the end of the season.

** An odd example happens in the season 3 opener, where León sings "Las Mañanitas," a traditional Mexican birthday song sung throughout Latin America. Of course, the dub localized this to be a [[ToTheTuneOf completely different song with the same tune]].
