** In Season 7's "Faith", Hannah, a teenage drug addict first appears as a patient of Dr. Glassman's. In the next two episodes, despite Hannah's objections, Glassman decides to let her crash at his place while ilegally prescribing her oxycodone, which Shaun finds out but decides not to report Glassman. However, her absence in the series finale is never addressed after Glassman's brain cancer returns. Nor is she even mentioned at all.

** Jordan and Perez in Season 6. They both are clearly interested in each other, and come within an inch of a kiss at one point, but Perez refuses to pursue a formal relationship to focus on his sobriety and career. After Asher tells Jordan that Perez is "bread crumbing" her, she tells him that she's lost her patience with him and is moving on. Only then does he kiss her, and she initially doesn't react to it, but later agrees to start working on a relationship. They plan a date at Perez's house, and when Jordan arrives, she finds him unconscious from an apparent heroin overdose, having relapsed. Perez survives and returns to work under probation while being supervised by Jordan on his first day back. He tells her that he is once again avoiding a relationship to focus on sobriety (although he insists Jordan had nothing to do with his relapse) and wishes to no longer be supervised by her. Though understanding, Jordan is clearly hurt by this. They later try to work towards a relationship, especially after Jordan almost kisses Jared in front of Perez and sparks jealousy. Ultimately, Jordan is forced to [[spoiler:give Perez opioids to save his life when he is hospitalized, despite his demands to not use them on him out of fear of relapsing. Although Perez forgives her, he decides that he needs the help of his family back in Texas to stay sober and will be quitting his residency, but not before a dinner date with Jordan from his hospital bed]].

** A minor example with Jordan and Jared, who also happen to like each other. Jordan struggles having feelings for both him and Perez. After Perez is PutOnABus, they spend some quality of time together in Season 7. However, they decide to remain friends after her and Perez start texting each other since [[spoiler:Asher's death]], thus allowing Jared to be with Claire when she returns.
