* SoundtrackDissonance: Aside from opening fast-paced tune all the other tracks are made almost entirely from single electronic cues, ambient sounds and [[DroneOfDread drones of dread]]. It [[Administrivia/TropesAreTools fits as may situations]] as [[ZigZaggingTrope it doesn't]]. This gets especially jarring in Season 2, which is [[ActionisedSequel much more action-packed]] and could really benefit from more fitting soundtrack.

* ActionisedSequel: Series 1 has two parallel worlds, has an {{Anvilicious}} message about science and freedom, and is relatively slow paced: it takes Paul 13 episodes to go back to his world. Series 2, on the other hand, tones down its preaching considerably (the message is still there, though), features six parallel worlds and has an average of one dimension shift every episode.
