Since ancient times, the Shiba Clan have been fighting against the monstrous hordes of the Gedoushu[[note]]"Heretic Party"[[/note]]: the demons that [[ThingsThatGoBumpInTheNight emerge from crevices to attack humans]]. When the 18th head of the Shiba Clan, Takeru Shiba, learns that the leader of the Gedoushu is close to regaining his full power, he is reluctantly forced to summon four others from his retainer families as back-up and form the Shinkenger. They consists of;

* ExperiencedProtagonist: It has been explicitly stated that all of the Shinkengers have been training since childhood to properly prepare against their fight with the Gedoushu. This is proven in the first episode where each member of the team is already an MasterSwordsman and are shown to wield their respective preferred weapons with great proficiency.
