He ''did'' have a sexual relationship with her and is DJ's real father, but Erin's killing was really an AccidentalMurder by the Ross' teenage son Ryan, and John tried to take the blame to protect him.]]

Episode titles get quotes. The show's title gets italics.

** ''Enter Number Two'' is a song lyric, which refers to the female [[spoiler: getting a second love interest.]]
** ''Sore Must Be The Storm'' is a reference to an Emily Dickinson poem.

That's not Dylan's car. He's got some sort of SUV thing that we see him drive to pick up DJ and when kidnapped by Erin's father. The cool car is driven by his buddy. We don't know what that kid's parents do.

* ImprobablyCoolCar: More than one viewer, including [[https://jalopnik.com/hbos-mare-of-easttown-has-a-huge-car-casting-fail-1847049467 Jason Torchinsky of Jalopnik]] was shocked to see Dylan driving a restored mid 70s Ford Bronco, since they sell for between 50 and 150 thousand dollars on average. It's definitely not the type of car you would expect a teenager in a working-class Pennsylvania town to have, especially when such a big deal is made of him (allegedly) not having the $1,800 for his son's ear surgery.
