It is the year 2552, and humanity is at war. Countless outer colonies are in open revolt against the United Earth Governments, and the United Nations Space Command has gone to brutal lengths to maintain order. Among these desperate actions is the deployment of the SPARTAN-II {{Super Soldier}}s against the insurrection - coldblooded, enigmatic killing machines that are widely regarded as unstoppable. Propaganda hails the [=SPARTANs=] as humanity's last line of defense against an alien menace known as the Covenant, but few in the colonies believe it.

Unfortunately, the threat is very real. When a refinery on the planet Madrigal comes under attack by the Covenant, decorated SPARTAN John-117 (Creator/PabloSchreiber) and his squad, Silver Team, are dispatched. Only one survivor is found - Kwan Ha (Yerin Ha), daughter of the local insurrection's leader. Silver team departs the planet with her in custody, along with a mysterious alien artifact discovered at a Covenant dig site nearby.

The mission is complicated, however, when John inadvertently activates the artifact, triggering the re-emergence of long-buried memories of his past. Questioning everything that he knows, John decides to go AWOL with Kwan in tow, desperately searching for answers - a search that will entangle him in a web of conspiracy and intrigue, and may hold the key to stopping the Covenant...
