Series/TaliaInTheKitchen can also be considered somewhat of a Spiritual Spinoff of Every Witch Way in that both shows are produced by the same creative team, both are adaptations of foreign shows (again, also productions by the same people) and also deal with magical powers. Added DiffLines:

* FriendlyZombie: Andi hacked her favorite zombie video game to get a zombie ally by the name of Phillip. This zombie would be brought to reality by Emma's magic, and he quickly became Andi's boyfriend. Though he did have a tendency to bite, it was only when startled by bright light. Though forced back into the game, he eventually returned in a future episode.

* SpearCounterpart: Jax was originally developed as a male counterpart to Mia from the original show (he has her last name,) with the change being him in love with Emma instead of her rival. Subverted in that Mia eventually appeared in Season 3 as the main villain. With her back, Jax now seems more like a variation of the original's Tony (who turned out to be a warlock.)

Series/TaliaInTheKitchen can also be considered somewhat of a Spiritual Spinoff of Every Witch Way in that both shows are produced by the same creative team, both are adaptations of foreign shows (again, also productions by the same people) and also deal with magical powers. Talia in the Kitchen and Every Witch Way also each have concurrent crossover episodes with each other in Every Witch Ways Season 4 and Talia in the Kitchens first season.

* EvenBiggerBad: At least once a season:
** In Season 1, it seems pretty obvious that Maddie is being set up to be the BigBad/AlphaBitch rival to Emma, with her mom Ursula serving the role as TheDragon to her daughter along with Maddie's AlphaBitchPosse, and that there will be a final show-down between Emma and Maddie to determine who's going to be the Chosen One. [[spoiler: As it turns out, Principal Torres, a deposed Chosen One witch herself, is the real Big Bad and tries to steal both Emma and Maddie's powers to reclaim her Chosen One status, with the minor side-effect of Emma and Maddie being killed in the process. Emma and Maddie end up working together to defeat Principal Torres, Emma becomes the Chosen One unquestioned and Maddie ends up unknowingly sacrificing her powers to defeat Torres. From this moment on Maddie, Ursula and her Posse become nearly unquestioned allies of Emma through to the conclusion of the series.]]
** In Season 2, Jax the NewTransferStudent seems like a pretty obvious potential BigBad for the season, not to mention Desdemona's moon-induced FaceHeelTurn which forces her to be evil with desires to take over the Witches' Council. [[spoiler: while Jax and Desdemona do indeed end up fighting each other to see who will come out on top, the real Big Bad of the season turns out to be an evil clone of Emma, called E, that Jax made in the hopes of having her be his sidekick until she decided she wanted it all to herself instead. Jax ends up pulling a permanent HeelFaceTurn in order to help the original Emma defeat her evil self, and Desdemona reverts back to her pre-evil self once she's defeated. And even on top of that, it's implied that Jax's dad, Jack Novoa, is an Even Bigger Bad on a yet higher level being the ManBehindTheMan.]]
** In Season 3, Mia the kanai is again obviously set up to be the season's Big Bad with desires to destroy the Witches' Realm and the Chosen One for revenge against the Wiches' Realm nearly wiping out all of kanai-kind. [[spoiler: Other than one or to confrontations with Diego over bruised egos that go nowhere, nothing really happens other than build-up to the climax where Mia and Emma have to work together to save each other from being trapped inside a zombie video game. In this sense there really is no season Big Bad other than animosity between kanais and witches.]]
