Dragula Full title: The Boulet Brother's Dragula: Search for the World's Next Drag Supermonster is a RealityShow hosted by drag queen couple The Boulet Brothers. The series stars a number of drag queens competing for the title of the World's Next Drag Supermonster. Before you say that there's already a show for that, what makes Dragula notable is its emphasis on the types of drag that typically don't receive much attention in the media: freaky, filthy, and downright horrific is the name of the game here, and the types of messiness that would get you kicked out of any drag club are lauded here. Despite this, the show gives a very fair and humane voice to its queens, noting that they are normal people whose drag falls outside of what is accepted by society. The show also takes special care to avoid the over-production Drag Race has fallen prey to in more recent seasons: the Boulets are more than willing to insult queens, call them out on their BS, and just generally have fun screwing around with them.

The show started out as a club competition for amateur drag queens Albeit in a much different form. It's worth noting that amateur drag competitions are popular fixtures at many drag clubs across the US. before making the jump to a full-length TV show in 2016. The series premiered on October 31st, 2016, and subsequent seasons have followed tradition with a Halloween premiere. It can be watched on the [=WOWPresents=] Website/YouTube channel, and outside of the us on [=OUTtv=]. So far two seasons of the show have aired Previous winners include Vander Von Odd and Biqtch Puddin., with plans for a third. With the debut of the third, the show can now be watched on Amazon Prime.

Each episode can be divided into two parts: The "Preparation" section, where the queens receive the week's theme from the Boulets and prepare their looks for the floor show. Each theme revolves around a horror motif, and can vary from recreating a archetypal horror creature or paying tribute to a genre of subculture. The second half is the "Floor Show", where the queens unveil their look, and typically participate in some other challenge, which can vary from creating a full-on production to simply lip syncing during the Floor Show. The queens who perform weakest in the week's challenge are then "up for extermination", and must participate in the "extermination challenge" to save themselves from "extermination" from the competition. These extermination challenges tend to involve putting the queens through painful, embarrassing, or otherwise unpleasant experiences. Each week, one queen is eliminated until only three are left, from which a winner is chosen... after the GrandFinale challenge, of course.

Not to be confused with the Music/RobZombie song of the same name.

!!Dragula provides examples of:
* Cloudcuckoolander: Disasterina came off as one, especially during performances.
* EmbarrassingTattoo: Victoria and Kendra had to get these as a part of one extermination challenge.
* TheFaceless: Monikkie Shame never shows her real face on the show, and the masks she wears are an important element of her drag.
* GagNose: One of the trademarks of Abhora's drag is her long-pointy nose. Doubles as a SinisterSchnoz for her monstrous outfits.
* NonSequitur: The opening sketches, which focus on the Boulet Brothers and their adventures, typically have no relevance or bearing to the rest of the episode.
* ShoutOut: Many are made to classic horror movies.
** The very first challenge involved recreating the death of the Wicked Witch of the West.
** Biqtch's gothic bride look very deliberately bore a strong resemblance to Jonbenet Ramsey.
** The Boulet's Final 2 outfits of Season 2 are both based on looks from Film/TheRockyHorrorPictureShow.
