* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Pretty Miss Hertz and Principal Delmas are both significantly younger than they were in the original show, and Jim is quite a bit thinner (he still has a small beer gut, however). Franz Hopper's actor, on the other hand, manages to line up with his animated counterpart surprisingly well, and the rest of the main cast do bear a striking resemblance to their animated counterparts (Ulrich, Jérémie and Yumi come to mind).
* AdaptationDeviation: Yumi, Odd, Jérémie, and William all wear different clothes to their animated counterparts. However, they all evoke the color palettes of their animated selves (Yumi wears an all-black leather jacket, Odd wears shorts and a shirt, both blue and purple normally, Jérémie wears mauve flannel shirts and jeans, Aelita wears a pink dress and denim shirt).
* AdaptationDyeJob: Anthea Hopper, Sissi and Sam are portrayed as blonde, despite their original series selves being respectively rose-haired, brunette and black-haired. Averted with Aelita, who actually keeps her rose hair, and zig-zagged with Odd, who has a lighter purple spot in his hair (which looks invisible in certain scenes due to its placement).
* AnimeHair: Odd's conical hairstyle is kept in the 3D animation. In the live action, Odd's hair is gelled, but it is nowhere near its previous height, but it is spiked upwards to give the impression.

* AdaptationalAttractiveness: In general, the core cast of returning characters (Ulrich, Odd, Jérémie, Aelita, Yumi, William, Jim, and Franz Hopper) share some resemblances to their animated counterparts from WesternAnimation/CodeLyoko. WordOfGod said that Sissi's hair being blonde was a ContinuityNod to the previous series, where Odd says she'd look good with blonde hair, and seems to take it as a compliment, while Anthea's hair is bleached of color in flashbacks (meaning it's ''meant to be pink'', but it clearly isn't).

odd acts like this, nobody else does. The main conversation is actually about how to deactivate a tower, not how to enter it. Odd only has issues entering it because he was stressed out at the time, and the show never made much of a mention as to how entering towers worked (it was only implied by Aelita before). The point of the episode is for the Ninja to install a tracker in Sector 5, so Tyron made him immune to the digital sea it seems.

* SeriesContinuityError:
** While all the Lyoko warriors being able to shut off towers is new, their ability to enter them is not, despite them acting like they've never done it before. This might be handwaved as them never entering an ''active'' tower before, but it's still a stretch. In the original series, when Aelita was briefly prevented from entering activated towers, it was implied that it required some additional amount of conscious effort to do so.
** The point of the ''Skidbladnir'' is to protect the Lyoko Warriors from the Digital Sea, as contact would otherwise be fatal. Apparently no-one told the Ninjas that, as one is able to hitch a ride to Lyoko simply by clinging to the outside of the ''Skid''. On the other hand, XANA did manage to protect William from the Digital Sea during his time as a minion, so Tyron and his Ninjas could potentially duplicate that trick.

''Code Lyoko: Evolution'' (''Code Lyoko Évolution'') is the sequel series to ''WesternAnimation/CodeLyoko''. While it could be seen as a continuation of its predecessor, it sports a major difference: instead of the mix of 2D and 3D animation styles that ''Code Lyoko'' was famous for, the 3D has been revamped, and the 2D has been replaced with live-action. It will have at least one season, with 26 episodes. A preview screening took place in Paris on December 5th, 2012, the first episode was streamed on France 4's website on December 19th, 2012, and the first three episodes of the series premiered on France 4 on January 5th, 2013. A US premiere was on February 2013 on [=MoonScoop=]'s Kabillion channel.

'''''Code Lyoko Evolution''''' is the sequel series to ''WesternAnimation/CodeLyoko''. A US premiere is set for February 2013 on [=MoonScoop=]'s Kabillion channel.
