Rant Inducing Slight is now a disambig

* RantInducingSlight: When a fan who had seen one of the West End shows he organised as part of his quest decided to try lending her assistance by ''naming a star after him'', Dave flies into a rant as he points out just what attempting to ''meet'' this potential 54th Dave Gorman would do to the graph.
-->'''Dave Gorman:''' This star is '''153 MILLION MILES AWAY! What were you thinking, Rebecca Whiting?! If I go to meet this star, what would that do to the "Miles per Dave Gorman"?! This is what it'd do! We would then have travelled... 153,026,629 miles! And we would've met 54 Dave Gormans! Giving us a "Miles per Dave Gorman" of 2,833,770! That is an error of 2,833,270 for each and every Dave Gorman! If I meet that Dave Gorman... and I wanna get back into The Zone[[note]]The 300-500 [=MpDG=] range he'd set himself on the graph as an ideal[[/note]], even if I travelled NO MORE MILES and each and every Dave Gorman was brought to me... I would need to meet another 306,048 Dave Gormans! WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM?! SOME KIND OF LUNATIC?!'''
** Doubles as WritersHaveNoSenseOfScale, since the only star around 153 million miles from Earth is...the Sun. He might have meant 153 billion (as in, million million) miles, which would be equivalent to about 26 light years. This would've done a million times as much damage to his Miles Per Dave Gorman graph.

Before [[Series/ModernLifeIsGoodish Modern Life Is Good(ish)]], Dave Gorman wrote and performed a pair of what would become known as his trademark comedic lectures in the early 2000s. The first of these was ''Are You Dave Gorman?'', the result of a drunken bet between him and his housemate, Danny Wallace, after learning that the assistant manager of a Scottish football team shared his name.

As Dave Gorman both wrote and presented the show, he had one of the other Dave Gormans (#5, from Edinburgh; also known as "Little Dave") be his assistant and had two other Gormans [[spoiler:and someone called Dave G'''u'''rman]] as special guests.

-->'''Dave Gorman:''' Imagine, then, my dismay when I found out about a Dave Gorman that lives 153... ''million'' miles away. Somebody - a well-meaning person, no doubt - saw the show I did in the West End. They wanted to help me. They weren't called Dave Gorman. They didn't want to ''become'' a Dave Gorman. But they thought they knew a way to make a Dave Gorman exist. They named a star after me. ''[Dave produces a framed Universal Star Listing certificate]'' This arrived in the post! They have registered a star in my name. ''[Powerpoint shows a star chart, which he then circles]'' This is the star. It's actually... ''that one there''. This came... ''[Dave grabs a greeting card]'' ...with this card, signed by a Rebecca Whiting with a message that says, simply: ''I hope this counts''. This star is '''153 MILLION MILES AWAY! The task? Find a total of 54 other Dave Gormans - one for each of the cards (including jokers) in a standard deck of playing cards - and take photographic/video evidence to document the entire journey. What ensues is tens of thousands of miles by road and air, amusing anecdotes and one impulsive international flight after another.

!!Tropes:

* ArcWords: Given that each utterance of it brings him one step closer to his goal: ''"Hello! My name is Dave Gorman."''
* BigBad: The Graph. Dave built one showing the correlation between the miles he travelled and the number of Dave Gormans he met, with the objective to stay within the range of 300-500 miles for each one he met.
** And, given he didn't want Dave to win the bet, Danny Wallace counts as one too.
* FantasticMeasurementSystem: MpDG. ''Miles per Dave Gorman''.
* GoBackToTheSource: When on the trail of the Canadian author Dave Gorman, the brief foreword in his book - ''Looking At Ourselves'' - says he can be easily recognised in the south of France. After jetting out to the village of Saint-Alexandre and trying to locate him with little to no knowledge of the language, Dave and Danny finally get to the author's home... only to find out that he's in London.
-->'''Dave Gorman:''' He was in ''bastard'' Greenwich!! He was five miles from my own front door while I've been stood one yard from his!
* GodzillaThreshold: With a handful of Dave Gormans left to find, ''Prime-Dave'' busts out his "ace in the hole": offering to help people ''change their name'' by Deed Poll ''to'' Dave Gorman. He even gets two ''women'' to take up his offer, one of whom was in a relationship with someone who also changed their name; a literal "Couple of Dave Gormans".
-->'''Dave Gorman:''' It's a serious offer. Is anyone gonna take it?\\
'''Colin:''' ...I'll fuckin' take it, mate!
