As such, it has a few key differences (and some not-so key ones)!

* ActorRoleConfusion: Each roleplayer has been noted to share a good handful of traits with their muse, sometimes to a point of confusion as to who is talking in the generally [[Main/OutOfCharacter out of character]] cbox. Often times, the answer is simply both.
** Subverted by roleplayers who intentionally use nicknames in the chatbox to avoid this confusion.

* ArchEnemy: Many, of course.
* BashBrothers: Superman and Batman being the premiere example, but there are others as well.
* BigGood: Superman, Batman, etc.
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: The TropeCodifier, as well as a lot of other characters.

* ChestInsignia: Obviously.

* DatingCatwoman: The TropeNamer, of course.
* DeathByOriginStory: The obvious, as well as a couple of the [[OriginalCharacter original characters]].
* DominoMask: Various different characters.

* HandicappedBadass: Barbara Gordon.
* FixFic: For DC comics post-52 (that is the mini series before even the New-52 continuity).

* NonPoweredCostumedHero: Many, particularly in Gotham.
* PapaWolf: Batman is this towards the other members of the Batfamily.

* TheCape: The UrExample and TropeMaker, Superman, along with quite a few others, including but not limited to Batgirl (Cassandra Cain) and Spoiler (Stephanie Brown).
* TheCommissionerGordon: The TropeNamer, of course. Spoiler also seems to be building this relationship with [[OriginalCharacter Detective Warren White]].
* TheCowl: The TropeCodifier.

* ToyShip: The roleplayers of Damian and Mar'i certainly are rooting for them, and so very much wish it could be mainstream canon. They get their fill with cute threads and invite the rest of the site to ship with them (and most do!). An in-universe example exists with Harley Quinn in [[http://dcunitedwestand.proboards.com/thread/689/used-house-full-evil-clowns Funhouse]] where she contemplates that Damian and Mar'i have feelings for each other, like her and Mr.Jay!

* CanonImmigrant: In addition to the pre-existing examples of [[CanonImmigrant Canon Immigrants]] from DC Comics, there are also quite a few characters available who either had not appeared as of the time the roleplay is set, are adaptation-exclusive characters, or are from the [[Comicbook/{{New52}} New 52 reboot]].

* PuppyLove: Damian and Mar'i. It's still in development, with neither child recognizing or differentiating their feelings from friendship, but there are subtle hints of something more akin to young love in various threads and headcanons. That, and the rate of progression they go through from mistrust to genuinely being terrified of losing the other is astonishing given their backstory and circumstance. It's left for more perceptive characters to pick up on, while the children row rafts in the river of denial and the fogs of ignorant bliss.
