The ride starts out at the Wonders of Xandar pavilion, the park’s first "Other-World Showcase". Wanting to establish a link with other worlds, the Nova Corps have set up shop at World Discovery (at the suggestion of one Peter Quill/Star-Lord, a fan of the original EPCOT Center prior to his abduction) with this showcase of Xandar and its culture. However, your visit is soon interrupted by the arrival of the Celestial threat of Eson the Searcher, who has stolen an advanced Xandarian device known as the Cosmic Generator, and seeks to use it to travel back to the dawn of time and SetWrongWhatWasOnceMadeRight by remaking the world devoid of Terrans. It’s up to the visiting Guardians of the Galaxy to save the day once again and get the generator back from Eson, with riders tagging along on their wild chase through time and space in Xandarian evacuation shuttles.
