* BazaarOfTheBizarre: The Night Market, where all supernatural creatures of all kinds congregate underground in New York City.

Everyone takes a trip to the eponymous [[ShapedLikeItself Night Market]], where Nadja does some bartering, Lazlo tries to educate Colin and Nandor acccidentally ropes Guillermo into an underground familiar fighting ring.

* AllForNothing: Nadja buys off the union representative for the wraiths using a rare drug, but the other wraiths simply devour him for giving up on their demands and keep pressuring Nadja for concessions.

* BazaarOfTheBizarre: The Night Market, which is where all supernatural creatures of all kinds congregate underground New York City.
* BerateAndSwitch: Nadja is furious about the wraiths killing five night club patrons in a week but becomes considerably more chill upon finding out that four of them were humans.

* FantasyKitchenSink: The night market is ripe with all sorts of creatures from various fairy tales and mythology, such as, for instance, fairies and valkyries.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: The garden gnomes that Lazlo points out to Child Colin come to life and run away the moment they stop looking at them.
* HiddenInPlainSight: You can simply take a subway train to the Night Market.
* HopeSpot: Nandor comes up with a solution to get Guillermo out of fighting with and publicly killing a vampire. Said solution? Fighting Guillermo himself of course.
* KillTheOnesYouLove: The crowd at the fighting ring gets really excited about Nandor and Guillermo fighting and starts chanting "Kill your friend!".

* MundaneObjectAmazement: As no one can actually agree upon the value of each other's currency with so many supernatural people who have different values coming together, they have resorted to bartering as a universally understandable system for everyone at the market to use. Nadja quickly figures out how to game the market by taking advantage of what other beings consider to be valuable but are mere trinkets to her (and the audience).
* OhCrap: Guillermo first when Nandor puts him up for the familiar fights, when he gets put up to fight with a vampire after defeating all the familiars, an especially big one when Nandor volunteers to fight with him instead of said vampire and pretty much all throughout the fight.
* OurFairiesAreDifferent: For one, they live in dumpsters instead of mushrooms, much to Colin's disgust. For another, they look less like pretty women with insect wings and more like flying cockroaches with humanoid features, including living in dumpsters and feeding off garbage.
* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: While Lazlo berates Colin over his love for the fairy-tale books, Nadja comes in, checks out a random book on a shelf behind them and leaves. As it turns out by the end of the episode, said book contained important information about a drug that she buys at the Night Market and uses for her negotiations with the wraith employees of her nightclub.
* NonchalantDodge: Guillermo all while trying to convince the other familiars not to fight him and talk it out. He only starts ''actually'' fighting in his final fight with Nandor.
* RefugeInAudacity: When Guillermo gets anxious over going to The Night Market as a human, Nandor tells him to simply tell people he's an orc, should any problems arise. It actually works.
