* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: When Evangelyne angrily states that she cannot undress in front of them, Sadlygrove candidly remarks that he already saw her naked once, and wasn't a dream. Cue to a very nervous Evangelyne shutting him up and claiming that he just imagined things to a confused Amalia.

* WhatTheHellHero: Justice Knight calls out the heroes for letting Anathar out, but he mostly chews out Sadlygrove, believing that his bad skills as a Guardian allowed Rubilax to pull off his scheme in the first place. He eventually recognizes Dally's skills when they battle Anathar together.

* LockedOutOfTheLoop: {{Downplayed}} in that while Anathar is unaware of just how deep in trouble Rubilax is with Rushu, he definitely knows something's fishy going on with Rubilax and specifically mentions he's gonna interrogate him to find out why he didn't try to rescue him from Justice Knight after he was initially freed from imprisonment fighting the ghouls.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Rubilax spends the entire episode being unresponsive and missing plenty of chances to insult Dally. The Iop is worried by this behaviour.

Added DiffLines:

* VillainousBSOD: Rubi's been stuck in one since the end of Rubilaxia, apparently trying to reconcile the fact he's pretty much burned all bridges with his fellow Shushus, the only people he can rely on ironically enough are the humans he's been trying to use and manipulate since forever, and he's really not the CardCarryingVillain he's tried so hard to present himself as.

Having obtained a set of flying mounts from their previous adventure, the Brotherhoods proceed, though Dally notices how unusually silent and sullen Rubilax is being. Soon they're captured by a mysterious light that seems to target Rubilax and find themselves prisoners of a man in a shiny armor who declares himself the Justice Knight and has already captured and jailed Remington and Grany Smisse. However, when the group's attempted evasion ends up releasing a powerful and dangerous enemy, the jailer and the prisoner have to join forces.

!!Tropes

* AintTooProudToBeg: When Rubilax realizes that Anathar is about to be dragged through the portal, he ''begs'' Sadlygrove to pull him out before it's too late.
* AntiMagic: This episode introduces the inhibitors, spherical eye-covered machines resembling surveillance cameras which prevents all magic from being used within their gaze. The Justice Knight uses them to keep his prisoners from using magic to escape.
* ArcVillain: Anathar, a greater Shushu and Rushu's right hand man [[note]] when Djaul is unavaible apparently [[/note]], used to be sealed inside the Cape of Shadows but took over the Justice Knight's father, forcing the knight to lock him up until he can find a way to separate the two. Unfortunately, Remington sets him free.
* BadassCape: Anathar was sealed inside a cape, a tattered, ominous black cape known as the Cape of Shadows, which was the only weapon the father of Justice Knight needed.
* TheBadGuyWins: By the end of the episode, Anathar has returned to the Shushu dimension, but has dragged with him the Smisse Brothers, Yugo, Rubilax and Sadlygrove, leaving Evangelyne heartbroken as she feels she has lost Dally a second time.
* CagedInsideAMonster: Happens to Rubilax and Grany, who are picked up by Anathar and locked in the small "cage" inside his abdomen.
* CallBack: The disaster caused by Rubilaxia is the entire reason why Anathar is free and the Justice Knight is hunting down all the Shushu he can.
* CombatTentacles: During the final fight against the heroes, Anathar uses his portals to summon black pincer-tipped tentacles from his homeworld. They end up snaring him and dragging him back to the Shukrute when he gets too close, though it's not a much as an HoistByHisOwnPetard as it seems.
* ComicallyMissingThePoint: Sadlygrove doesn't see why Eva should have problem with taking off her clothes when he already saw her naked before.
* DemonicPossession: Justice's father overused his Cape of Shadows while fighting the hordes of Ghouls from Rubilaxia and Anathar took over his body, transforming completely into his demonic form, forcing his son to put him in jail.
* DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment: Proving that the Justice Knight's skill at making boasts leaves something to be desired...
-->'''Justice Knight''': "JUSTICE calls for...... [[ShapedLikeItself Justice!!]]"
* DraggedOffToHell: What essentially happens to Anathar in the end, though it's not at all a bad thing for him. Much less so for the unfortunate heroes dragged along.
* FanBoy: Yugo and Amalia for the Justice Knight.
* HostageSituation: Anathar escapes the fortress carrying both Rubilax and Grany Smisse in his stomach pouch, which forces both the Brotherhood and Remington to help the Knight in hunting the demon down.
* InstantExpert: Due to his powers, Anathar can istantly use the Eliatrope portals with extreme ease, and is even able to open up multiple portals at once, something that Yugo couldn't do.
* KnightInShiningArmor: Justice Knight, complete with gilded equipment and an ego to match.
-->'''Justice Knight''': "I AM the good guy! Have you seen the size of my armor!?"
* KnightOfCerebus: Anathar is much more serious and intimidating than all the threats the hero encountered in this season, (Rushu doesn't count, since he wasn't physically present).
* LargeHam: The Justice Knight, as any good superhero-inspired character, is hammier than a pig farm.
* OhCrap: Rubilax has one when Anathar recognizes him and takes him prisoner, stating that Rubilax has a few things to explain (namely, why he left him behind while he was gathering forces for Rubilaxia).
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Rubilax spends the entire episode being unresponsive and missing plenty of chances to insult Dally. The Iop is worried by this behaviour.
* PowerCopying: Anathar's own magic allows him to copy the magic of the last person who touched him. As Yugo finds out, even kicking Anathar in the face counts as touching.
* SealedEvilInACan: Anathar was kept sealed inside the Cape of Shadows, but he managed to possess his wielder, and thus was locked in a prison. By the end of the episode, Anathar's completely out of the can.
* SlasherSmile: Normally Anathar keeps his mouth shut, resembling Anubis with a golden mask... then he [[TechnicallyASmile smiles]], showing off some scary fangs that easily doubles the size of his head.
* ThisCannotBe: Tragic version, Eva falls down on her knees, broken, after witnessing Dally being, essentially, dragged into the World of Twelve equivalent of Hell, after all they went through to save him.
* TooDumbToLive: Remington Smisse decides to open the door of Anathar's cell hoping that he'll attack the heroes... with no knowledge of what it is before, as lampshaded by Grany.
-->'''Grany''': "Why did you do that?"
-->'''Remington''': "Well... it looked like a good idea on the spot..."
* UnreliableExpositor: Minor example, though when Justice Knight retells the story of how his father was possessed, he claims that the forces of Rubilaxia attacked them while they were training... while the picture shows he and his father playing cards instead.
* TheUnreveal: Lampshaded when Yugo accepts to make one last attempt at blocking off the Inhibitor using his hat... on the condition that his friends don't look until he puts the hat back, with Amalia telling him that one of these days he will have to tell them what's beneath the hat.
* VillainousValor: Remington at first seems to have no motivation to help the heroes retrieving Anathar... but as Justice points out, he really cannot leave his brother behind.
