* SoOkayItsAverage: Critic's final opinion on the film is that its an "eh" movie in hindsight, feeling it's a heavily watered down adaptation of the classic comic books and on its own, is a rather by the numbers action flick with a lot of (alleged) PlotHoles that hasn't aged particularly well in comparison to the many, many superhero movies that have come out in the years after it.

Critical Research Failure is a disambiguation page

* CriticalResearchFailure: Despite claiming to be fans of the comic books, there's more than a few research flubs that even casual fans of the comics would notice:
** At one point, Malcolm is baffled that Rogue's more versatile powerset from the comics (including flight and super strength) is reduced down to her main ability to sap the abilities/lifeforce of others. Except that in the comics, she didn't have those other powers at first and only got them by absorbing them from ComicBook/CarolDanvers.

"Get to history class!"This is not a quote from the movie, as is usually the case. Rather, it's from a GagDub from the Critic when Rogue is inducted into a class.

Thats brought up in the X2 review, but not this one.

** Critic expresses confusion over why Xavier doesnt just use telekenesis to get himself out of certain tight spots such as his standoff with Magneto at the train station. Except that Xavier's powers are telepathic, not telekenetic--Jean Grey is the one with the telekenetic powers. To be fair, this isnt made outright clear in the films and its easy to assume his powers are telekenetic due to his ability to freeze people in place (mentally) in the sequels.
