* NiceJobFixingItVillain: The Scarface persona claims it was merely dormant, lying low in the depths of the Ventriloquist's subconscious mind and planning to one day re-emerge once he'd lured everyone into a false sense of security. By psychologically torturing Wesker to get their boss back, Mugsy and Rhino not only ruin Scarface's plans but end up helping Wesker [[EarnYourHappyEnding reach deep inside himself and find the inner strength to confront and destroy his inner demons for good]].

* EvilIsNotAToy: Wanting to get back their old boss, Scarface's minions try to gaslight poor Wesker into returning to crime. After all, as meek as his default personality is at times, Wesker is essentially a dangerous (former) crime lord. What did they ''think'' was going to happen by antagonizing him to be his more cutthroat personality?

* KilledOffForReal: Outside of [[Recap/TheNewBatmanAdventuresE12OverTheEdge dreams]] and [[Recap/JusticeLeagueS2E11And12ABetterWorld alternate universes]], this is the last time we see Scarface, gunned down by the Ventriloquist and shredded by an industrial fan. The goons realize Scarface will kill them if he sees them again so they're not coming back. The episode ends with Arnold Wesker glad he finally has some peace and quiet.

* ObfuscatingInsanity: More like Obfuscating Sanity: The Scarface personality laid low and planned to emerge after Arnold Wesker's reformation when the time was right. He really didn't like the goons bringing him out early, no matter how much they wanted to get the gang back together.

Arnold Wesker, AKA The Ventriloquist, is shown having a peaceful dream that rapidly turns into a nightmare where he gets killed by his dummy, the evil crime boss Scarface. He pleads with his psychologist not to release him, as he fears that Scarface isn't really gone yet. She lets him go, assuring him that he's stronger than that. Wesker gets a job working at Wayne Enterprises and is happy at first, but soon his old flunkies Rhino and Mugsy return and demand to know when TheBoss is coming back. Wesker tells them that Scarface is gone and not returning, and they take it badly...

Wesker gets a job working at Wayne Enterprises and is happy at first, but soon his old flunkies Rhino and Mugsy return and demand to know when DaBoss is coming back. Wesker tells them that Scarface is gone and not returning, and they take it badly...

Soon Wesiker starts hearing a voice exactly like Scarface's and even seeing him. Batman investigates and almost gets killed himself. He and Batgirl figure out what's really going on -- Rhino and Mugsy hired a midget actor to impersonate Scarface so they can get the gang back together and be successful criminals again. Unfortunately, this happens just as poor tormented Wesker has given in and returned to being The Ventriloquist! Scarface leads the boys on a robbery of Wayne Enterprises, and Wesker is confronted by one last chance to rid himself of his evil alter-ego forever.
