* FireForgedFriends: Rani repeatedly refuses to let the Lion Guard help the Night Pride with their patrols after finding out they had led a group of invaders into their home. It's only after she actually witnesses them fend off Makucha's gang and protect Baliyo after he is incapacitated does she finally accept them for real.

to:

* ApologyGift: Rani never straight up apologizes to the Lion Guard for misjudging them. However, her thanking them for defending her brother and allowing them to stay at the Tree of Life make it clear that she wants to make amends with them.

Added DiffLines:

* UngratefulBitch: Initially, when Kion tries to help the Night Pride the first time, Rani tells him that defending the Tree is [their] job and that they're good at it, before rudely telling him to focus on getting healed so he can go back home. She gets better, though.

Added DiffLines:

* WhatYouAreInTheDark: Kion admitting to knowing about Machuka further worsens Rani's opinion of him, when he could have easily feigned ignorance. It likely would have backfired anyway, given that Rani would be smart enough to eventually figure it out, and thus she'd more upset with him for lying to her.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Rani was already distrustful of the Lion Guard due to the events of the previous episode, but when she finds out that they had (albeit unknowingly) led Makucha and his gang into the Tree of Life, she is livid and the only reason she doesn't kick them out is due to Queen Janna keeping her in line. However...

* NotHelpingYourCase: Kion's attempts at trying to prove himself to the Night Pride initially fall flat; he crashes into Rani the first time they try to help fight off the bad guys, and then later admits to having been followed by them. Had it not been for Queen Janna reining in her granddaughter's temper and Makucha launching an attack in the middle of the day, the Lion Guard would've been permanently banned from the Tree of Life.

* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Queen Janna once again. Upon finding out that the villains had followed the Lion Guard to the Tree of Life, she doesn't hold it against them, and when Rani once again tries to kick them out, she gently overturns her granddaughter's decision and reminds Kion to focus on his healing.

Added DiffLines:

* ShaggyDogStory: Kion manages to get the flower from the cliff, but it ends up being trampled in a fight with the antagonists. However, Nirmala reveals that giving her the flower wasn't the point of the task, merely to teach Kion to focus and be patient.
