Levin offends Lyuba by introducing her to his friend as his "big sister" (instead of his girlfriend), and now needs Kupitman's help. Kupitman suggests him to be more persistent and "show Lyuba her place". However, it causes Lyuba to break to tears, forcing Levin to apologise. It's when Levin realises that he's better not trust Kupitman's advices in general.

Lobanov overhears that Kisegach needs to redecorate her office, ''today'', and save as much money on it as possible. He offers her to hire [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastarbeiter gastarbeiters]] he just so happens to know. Unfortunately for Lobanov, they are ''not'' actually gastarbeiters, and in fact, are highly educated people. Of course, they refuse him. He then hires two... questionable people from the nearby construction site. This almost works, but he mistakes their actions for a stealing attempt, and attacks them, leading to them refusing to work for Semyon any further (and not returning his money, since they now requires medical attention). Lobanov attempts to do all the work by himself, and, surprisingly, succeeds.

Varya entrusts Gleb with her story. Gleb, actually, is her second love; first one dumped her after their first night, which almost resulted in her committing suicide (it only failed because she used the non-lethal pills by mistake). Gleb suggests her to wait some time, so they can be sure that this love is real and not repeat the same mistake. Unfortunately, Varya tells Lyuba, and Gleb tells Semyon; now, Lyuba thinks that Gleb would dump Varya, and Semyon suggests Gleb to do exactly that.

Bykov and Kisegach have a bet: for the rest of the day, Bykov must act nice and friendly to Gleb, and never punish him, no matter how bad Gleb screws up. Meanwhile, Lyuba suggests Varya to be more... active, and invite Gleb on a date to test if he really wants to continue their relationship; while Gleb fears that his attempt to try and a build a serious relationship can potentially backfire if he ever decides to break with Varya. Gleb now tries to provoke Bykov into forcing him to stay on a night shift in progressively more insane ways, to have an alibi for missing a date with Varya, unaware of Bykov's bet with Gleb's mother. And indeed, Bykov ignores all Gleb's screwups, thinking that he's in league with Kisegach and does that on purpose.

Gleb's attempts to purposely screw up ends in Kisegach busting him herself and finally actually punishing him with a night shift. Only then Bykov learns that Gleb was not, in fact, working on Kisegach and all those attempts were his own ideas. Varya overhears this and now thinks that Lyuba was right. She confronts Gleb about this, and he tells her the truth: he doesn't try to run away from her, he just fears what would happen to her if something goes wrong. After this, they finally kiss each other.

Bykov and Kisegach have a bet: for the rest of the day, Bykov must act nice and friendly to Gleb, and never punish him, no matter how bad Gleb screws up. Meanwhile, Lyuba suggests
Varya to must be more... more active, and invite Gleb on a date first to test if he really wants to continue their relationship; his seriousness; while Gleb fears that his attempt himself is afraid to try and a build a start serious relationship can potentially backfire if the stakes are ''that'' high, so he ever decides to break with Varya. Gleb now tries to provoke Bykov into forcing him to get punished and stay on a night shift in progressively more insane ways, (thus gaining good excuse to have an alibi for missing a date with Varya, skip it), unaware of Bykov's that Bykov had a bet with Gleb's mother. And indeed, Bykov ignores all Gleb's screwups, thinking Kisegach that he ''wouldn't'' punish Gleb no matter what (and thinks that Gleb is screwing up on purpose, as he's in league with his mother). Ultimately, the plan works anyway when Kisegach and does that on purpose.

Gleb's attempts to purposely screw up ends in Kisegach busting him

Only then Bykov Varya overhears her discussion with Bykov, and learns that Gleb was not, in fact, working on Kisegach and trying to sabotage their date all those attempts were his own ideas. * BrokenBird: Varya shares with Gleb her story; her first love dumped her after their first night, which led to her [[SpurnedIntoSuicide attempting suicide]] (it only failed due to her being ill-prepared and using the wrong pills); since then, she's afraid to try ''any'' relationships, with anyone. She tells this to Gleb because she trusts him to be her second love. Gleb suggests to wait for some time, to prove that this love is real, unlike her previous one.
* ExactEavesDropping: In the end, Varya overhears Bykov and Kisegach's discussion and learns about Gleb trying to sabotage their date, and now thinks that Lyuba was right all along.

to:

* BookEnds: Levin's plot starts when he meets his old friend at the cinema and introduces Lyuba by her position rather than as his girlfriend, which, without context, makes it sound like she's his big sister (which offends Lyuba). At the end, when Lyuba meets ''her'' friend at the cinema where Levin invites her to apologise, introduces Levin as intern from her hospital.
Gleb suggests to wait love.
* CuttingCorners: Kisegach doesn't like the prospect of paying 10K
for renovation (especially if it would be done two days later, while she needs it today). Lobanov offers to invite his "familiar worker brigade" for 6K, but actually hires (or, rather, tries but fails) just two people, whom he offers only 3K, lying that it's "good money". When they refuse (offended by him thinking that they're some time, laborers), he tries to prove hire two others, who accept the job, but demand at least 5K. The second group also notices that this love is real, unlike her previous one.
Lobanov only provided them with paint, but not the new sockets, meaning that they have to pay for them themselves.
* ExactEavesDropping: In the end, Varya overhears Bykov and Kisegach's discussion and learns about Gleb trying to sabotage their date, and now thinks that Lyuba was right all along. She only forgives Gleb when she hears his true motives.
* GoneHorriblyRight: Gleb's plan how to postpone upgrading relationship with Varya to the next stage nearly results in her dumping him for good.

* ManipulativeBastard: When Levin asks Kupitman for help with Lyuba (whom he previously offended by introducing to his friend as a "big sister"), Kupitman tells him that Lyuba just "trains" him to be ideally obedient future husband, and suggests him to be more persistent, and never, ever apology before woman. This leads to Lyuba breaking into tears, forcing Levin to tell her the truth and apologise. After this Levin finally learns not to trust Kupitman's [[{{Troll}} advices]] ever again.
* MistakenForThief: Semyon's second attempt to hire gastarbeiters fails because he mistakes them removing things from Kisegach's office for them trying to steal them, and attacking, after which they quit.
* OpenMouthInsertFoot: Levin accidentally offends Lyuba by introducing her to his friend as his "big sister" instead of his girlfriend. Now he must somehow make her forgive him.
* SecretKeeper: Varya entrusts [[SpurnedIntoSuicide the story of her first love]] to Lyuba (infamous [[GossipyHens gossiper]]). Meanwhile, Gleb, whom she also told this story, entrusts this to Semyon (infamous [[TheDitz dumbass]]. Now, Lyuba thinks that Gleb would certainly dump Varya too; and Semyon suggests to do exactly that.

to:

* ManipulativeBastard: IronicEcho: When Levin asks Lobanov angers the second group of workers to the point that they quit, he tries to at least ask them where to find the sockets. They tell him the same thing he told them when hiring: that he can find the sockets at the store.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Gleb, out of worry for Varya's well-being (he knows that he's [[ReallyGetsAround too unreliable]], and is afraid to get her hurt if they would break up later), suggests to not rush things and test their feelings first. When Varya (following Lyuba's advice) pushes for a date, he tries to sabotage it, as he thinks that neither of them is ready to take their relationship on next level.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Lobanov makes Kisegach hire him to renovate her office for 6K, but then tries to find the workers who would do the job for just 3K, meaning that he can take the other 3K for himself. They refuse (as he assumes two random people being migrant workers just from their ethnicity alone, which they finds offensive), forcing him to hire two other people who only agree to work for 5K... and then he alienates them due to his idiocy, forcing him to finish the job by alone and with only 1K as budget, which he has to spend on actually doing the job, meaning that he earns nothing from it.
* LysistrataGambit:
Kupitman for help with Lyuba (whom he previously offended by introducing to his friend as a "big sister"), Kupitman tells him thinks that Lyuba just "trains" punishing Levin by withholding sex for one month is her "training" him to be ideally become [[HenpeckedHusband obedient future husband, and husband]]. * MistakenForThief: Semyon's second attempt to hire gastarbeiters two guys from construction site fails because he mistakes them removing things from Kisegach's office for them trying to steal them, them (in truth, they were just moving the furniture), and attacking, after which they quit.
* OpenMouthInsertFoot: The way Levin accidentally offends Lyuba by introducing introduces Lyuba, in Russian may either mean her to position of head nurse, or her being his friend older sister; naturally, it gets taken as his "big sister" instead of his girlfriend. Now he must the latter, offending Lyuba, and now Levin has to somehow make her Lyuba forgive him.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Gleb tells Semyon that construction site, the people he'd hired are allegedly working at, is stuck in perpetual limbo. With that in mind, he [[MistakenForThief takes them moving the furniture out of the office for them stealing it]]. However, had he simply bothered to ask where they're moving it, he would've found that they're just transferring it to other room ''within hospital''. Instead, he attacks them, which makes them quit in protest (without returning the money).
Now, Lyuba thinks that Gleb would certainly dump Varya too; Varya; and Semyon suggests to do exactly that.that. But both keep the info shared in secret.
* ShoutOut: When Kisegach yells at Gleb, Bykov mimics WesternAnimation/DonaldDuck's signature speech manner.
* SpringtimeForHitler: Gleb spends the day trying to screw up so badly that Bykov ''would'' leave him on a night shift, so Gleb wouldn't need to go on a date with Varya (as he's not sure that they're ready to serious relationship). He consistently fails to achieve this, as Bykov had a bet with Kisegach that he ''wouldn't'' punish, insult or overwork Gleb no matter what. He only gets that night shift when Kisegach herself busts him, but that's when Varya overhears them and [[GoneHorriblyRight nearly dumps Gleb for good]], thinking that Gleb is the same as her first boyfriend.

Levin offends Lyuba by introducing her to his friend as his big sister (instead of his girlfriend). Now he tries to ask Kupitman for help.

Varya entrusts Gleb with her story. Gleb, actually, is her second love; first one dumped her after their first night, which almost results in her committing suicide (it only fails because she used wrong pills for this). Gleb suggests her to wait some time, so they can be sure what this love is real. Unfortunately, she tells Lyuba, and he tells Semyon; now, Lyuba thinks what Gleb would dump her, and Semyon suggest exactly that.

Bykov and Kysegach have a bet: Bykov must whole day act nicely to Gleb, and, not matter what, do not punish him. Meanwhile, Lyuba suggests Varya to be more... active, and invite Gleb on the date to test if he really want to continue their relationship; and Gleb fears what his attempt to try and build serious relationship can potentially backfire if he ever decides to break with her. Gleb now tries to provoke Bykov into forcing him to stay on night shift in progressively more insane ways, to have alibi for missing date with Varya, unaware of Bykov and Kysegach's bet. Bykov ignores all his screwups, thinking what he does it on purpose, to let Anastasia win.

Lobanov overhears what Kysegach needs redecorating her office, ''today'', and as cheap as possible. He offers her to hire [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gastarbeiter gastarbeiters]] he just happens to know. Unfortunately for Lobanov, they are ''not'' gastarbeiters, and in fact, highly educated people. Of course, they refuse him. He then hires two... questionable people from nearby construction site. This almost works, but he mistakes their actions for stealing attempt, and attacks them, leading to them refusing work for Semyon any farther (and not returning him money, since they now required medical attention). Lobanov now must do all work by himself.

Gleb's attempts to purposely screwup ends in Kysegach busting him herself and finally punishing him with night shift. Only then Bykov learns what Gleb was not, in fact, working on Kysegach and all those attempts was his own idea. Varya overhears this and now thinks what Lyuba was right. She confronts Gleb about this, and he tells her the truth: he doesn't tries to run from her, he just fears for her if something goes wrong. After this, they finally kiss each other.

* BrokenBird: Varya turns out to be this. He first love dumps her after their first night, which leads to her [[DrivenToSuicide attempting suicide]]. Now, she tells this to Gleb, since she trusts him to be her second love. Gleb suggests to wait for some time, to prove what this love is real, unlike her previous one.

* EpicFail: Lobanov tries to hire two "gastarbeiters", only to learn what they are highly educated people, and considers this to be offensive stereotype. He then tries to hire two questionably looking people from nearby construction site. He mistakes their actions for steal attempt and attacks them, which leads to them refusing to work for Semyon any further, and leaving... without returning him money, since they now must treat their injuries. Now, he is forced to do all by himself in just one night; he doesn't botches this, though.
* ExactEavesDropping: In the end, Varya overhears Bykov and Kysegach's discussion and learns about Gleb trying to sabotage their date, and now thinks what Lyuba was right all along.
* AmIJustAToyToYou: Varya finally confronts Gleb about his attempt to sabotage their date; does he really cares about her, or he simply want sex, and this was his escape attempt from "mad, suicidal woman". Gleb tells her what yes, he really cares about her; he simply feared what ''he'' can potentially hurt ''her''. This convince her what their love is real.
* ManipulativeBastard: Kupitman, as always. When Levin asks him for help with Lyuba (whom he previously offended by introducing to his friend as "big sister"), Kupitman tells him what Lyuba just "trains" him to be ideally obedient future husband, and suggests him to be more persistent, and never, ever apology before woman. This leads to Lyuba to tears, forcing Levin to tell her truth and apology. After this Levin finally learns not to trust Kupitman's [[{{Troll}} advices]] any more.
* OpenMouthInsertFoot: Levin accidentally offends Lyuba by introducing her to his friend as his "big sister" instead of his girlfriend. Now he must somehow make her forgive him.
