Finally, she didn't realize that since the house did not have power, the garage likely didn't have power as well, and her attempt to brute force her way out of the garage with the Mustang ultimately ends in failure.

** Despite her preparations with the Mustang, the doors to the garage will not open as the electric door opener will not work as the power has been shut off, and the door appears to be frozen in place.

** Ultimately, what seals this for this trope is the fact that June is very close to delivering her baby, and lo and behold, her water breaks. While she still could have theoretically made her escape after giving birth, there is no way to tell if her baby will survive without medical attention, and thus she uses the shotgun to alert people to her location.

While marooned at the Mackenzie's mansion, June tries to find a way to escape. Fred and Serena search the house for Nick and June, but leave believing that both are in the wind. June's attempts to escape ultimately fail as she goes into labor and gives birth to a girl. Flashbacks detail June's experience giving birth with Hannah, and her relationship with her mother Holly, with whom she names her newborn daughter after.
