* PacifiedAdaptation: In "[[Recap/TheOwlHouseS1E7LostInLanguage Lost in Language]]", Luz and Amity's relationship was still mostly antagonistic, the main threat being Otabin, having been altered into a monster due to edits made to his book. Here, the main threat is Malphas, a high-ranking demon who doesn't have to be fought, but rather convinced that Amity wasn't involved in Luz, Emira and Edric's scheme. While Otabin's book was altered, it was only in a manner of behavior, at first given the ability to find certain books, then as a LivingLieDetector. The result leads to the events playing out a lot less action-packed than in canon.
