At Aunt Z's, the Aleena Grevel gets into a confrontation with a First Order ball droid, before leaving. Neeku rushes in to tell Kaz and Tam about another Ace trial held next week, meaning one of them could join the Aces. Kaz and Tam argue again about the First Order's presence, with Tam still believing that they make the platform more secure and Kaz retorting that soon it'll be so secure that no one will be able to do anything. Two stormtroopers enter the bar and leave a propaganda hologram, leaving Aunt Z rather put out.

Kaz agrees to help Torra find Hype. The First Order's takeover has resulted in various areas of the tower being declared off-limits, even to Torra, so they enter covertly. They find the Green Ace still in the hangar, gravity lock attached. Torra is certain Hype would never leave his beloved ship behind, and she remarks that he had made his dislike of the First Order well known. At Aunt Z's, Glitch, struggling to serve a bunch of angry customers alone, confirms to Kaz, Torra, and CB-23 that Aunt Z was arrested. Elsewhere, a line of cargo containers on a dock is shown. Hype, Aunt Z, Grevel, and Grevel's minion Nod are in one of the containers, having all been arrested for showing defiance to the First Order.

Kaz and Torra return to the repair shop to talk to Yeager and are surprised to see Captain Doza speaking with him in his room. The First Order is indeed arresting people and holding them in storage containers to be shipped off-world. Anyone who pushes against their authority too hard will get arrested, including Doza and Torra. Yeager and Doza are trying to reopen communications with the Resistance, and they give Kaz and Torra the go-ahead to rescue Hype and Aunt Z. Outside in the repair shop, Kaz and Torra meet a suspicious Tam, but they reveal nothing to her.

A race is going on at the Colossus, with Hype Fazon in the lead, as usual. As Captain Doza watches, Commander Pyre, via hologram, insists that he cancel the races due to the pirate threat, suggesting that the racing community is how pirates can get spies onto the platform. Doza counters that the races are the only thing left keeping up morale on the Colossus, and Pyre responds with a veiled threat.

At Aunt Z's, the Aleena Grevel gets into a confrontation with a First Order ball droid, before leaving. Rushing in, Neeku tells Kaz and Tam that there's going to be another Ace trial held next week, meaning one of them could join the Aces. Aunt Z confirms it. Kaz and Tam begin to get into another argument about the implications of the First Order's presence, with Tam still maintaining a massive blind spot about them, believing that they make the platform more secure, while Kaz counters that soon enough things will be so secure that no one will be able to do anything. Two stormtroopers enter the bar and leave a propaganda hologram, leaving Aunt Z rather put out.

Pyre sees Doza in person and successfully pressures him into cancelling all races on the grounds of security. When Doza breaks this news to the Aces, all of them are upset, but ''especially'' Hype, who storms out with his droid. When he gets to the hangar where the ''Green Ace'' is stored, he finds a few stormtroopers putting a gravity lock on it and tries to stop them, but backs down when he realizes he's surrounded. In the repair shop, Kaz and Tam are working on the ''Fireball'', with Bucket and CB-23 assisting, repairing the damage from Kaz's last trip, when Tam gets suspicious after finding carbon scoring, leading her to ask Kaz if he was in a battle. He swiftly and unconvincingly denies it, claiming the damage was sustained during a rough atmospheric re-entry. Before Tam can ask any more, Neeku races in with the news of the cancellation of all races and the grounding of the Aces, disappointed that Kaz and Tam won't have the chance to race in the trial anymore.

Back at Aunt Z's, Kaz, Tam and Neeku have returned and are talking to the proprietor when Torra suddenly arrives, distressed, and asks them if they've seen Hype anywhere. Kaz asks what's wrong, and Torra explains that she hasn't seen him since he stormed out earlier. Aunt Z blames the First Order for the disappearance, causing an enemy droid watching the tavern to summon backup. When stormtroopers duly arrive, they ask about a disturbance, and Kaz claims there wasn't any. Tam says that some of her friends got a little worried about a friend of theirs. When she asks about Hype's whereabouts, the lead trooper claims that the Rodian got clearance to leave early this morning. This satisfies Tam, given her dislike of her former friend, but Torra and Kaz don't buy it. When the trooper tells Kaz, Torra and Tam that they could all have a future in the First Order, Aunt Z yells at him, saying they're good kids who are too good for the Order, before throwing the datapad displaying the propaganda at him. Team Fireball, and Torra, leaves.

Kaz agrees to help Torra find Hype, and they sneak into the tower with the use of a crate of gorgs as a distraction, Torra commenting that the First Order's takeover has resulted in various areas of the tower being declared off-limits, even to her. They go to Hype's hangar, and after finding his ship there, Torra points out that the ''Green Ace'' is everything to Hype: there's ''no way'' he would leave it behind. The attached gravity lock is more evidence that the First Order lied. The two have to hide when they hear stormtroopers coming, and when one of the troopers compliments the ship, the other points out it's bound for the scrapyard, Kaz and Torra overhearing every word. Kaz asks Torra if Hype has ever said anything to suggest he didn't like the First Order, and she tells him it was more than just ''disliking'' them. Stopping by Aunt Z's, Kaz, Torra and CB-23 find her missing and Glitch overwhelmed by the orders of angry customers. The droid confirms to Kaz that Aunt Z was arrested, and Kaz and Torra leave the cantina and the complaining crowd. Elsewhere, in a line of cargo containers on a dock, shouting is heard from inside one of them. Hype tells Aunt Z she might as well stop, since he's not sure it will do anything. Grevel, also present with his minion Nod, says he got arrested because he told a stormtrooper they sucked, and may have kicked another in the shin. Aunt Z counters that nothing is going to make her stop voicing her opinions about how bad the First Order is, and Hype groans when the much heavier Gilliand uses him as a footstool to see out of an air vent, where a stormtrooper unsuccessfully tells her to be quiet.

Returning to the repair shop, Kaz and Torra agree that they have to do something, and attempt to talk to Yeager. However, Neeku tells them he's busy and doesn't want to be disturbed. Kaz gets Yeager to let him and Torra in by telling him that Hype and Aunt Z have been arrested, and upon being let in they're surprised to find Captain Doza inside as well. Doza confirms that the First Order is arresting people and holding them in storage containers on the west docks before transporting them offworld, but anyone who pushes against their authority too hard will get arrested, indicating that he and Torra aren't exempt. Yeager and Doza give Kaz and Torra the go-ahead to rescue Hype and Aunt Z. Outside in the repair shop, a suspicious Tam asks what they're talking about, and Kaz and Torra swiftly lie that they're planning a party to cheer people up about the races being cancelled before excusing themselves. Tam declares that she knows there's something suspicious going on with Kaz, and an oblivious Neeku excitedly points out that of course there's something going on: the party. He wonders if there will be food as Tam leaves.

That evening, Kaz, Torra and CB-23 head out onto the precarious network of pipes suspended on the underside of the Colossus. Kaz nearly falls a couple of times, only for Torra and CB-23 to help him back up. Kaz tells CB to stay back, but close enough for her to help if they need her, and they set out. They eventually jump over to a catwalk below the docks, and watch a stormtrooper pass by above. Upon locating the container the prisoners are in, Kaz and Torra get the attention of Aunt Z and Hype. As the Rodian groans after being used as a footstool for a second time, Aunt Z asks Kaz and Torra what they're doing out there. Kaz explains about the rescue, but points out that he and Torra can't break out the prisoners now because if they do, the stormtroopers will tear the Colossus apart searching. Instead, he and Torra are going to help them steal the transport that's going to take them offworld so they can escape on it.

Kaz and Torra head to meet the transport, and wait under the gangplank as the stormtroopers and the prisoners approach. When the prisoners board the ship, Kaz and Torra jump the two stormtroopers guarding the boarding ramp, with Torra having more success as Kaz nearly falls over the edge of the platform. Aunt Z leads the others in attacking the stormtroopers, overpowering and disarming them. Hype, noticing Kaz's dilemma, psychs himself up and disarms the stormtrooper shooting stun bolts at Kaz before punching him off the platform. He then gives Kaz a hand up, with thanks exchanged. As they prepare to leave, Aunt Z tells Kaz and Torra that she's going to head for Takodana, where she has a friend who can help. Hype, when asked about flying the transport, says he can fly anything. The ship leaves. Kaz and Torra, heading off to safer parts of the Colossus, discuss the rescue, with Kaz pointing out that the First Order will eventually notice that one of their ships is missing. Torra points out that they won't know who stole it, though, before she and Kaz part ways. Returning to the repair shop with CB-23, Kaz starts to address Yeager before trailing off when he sees a squad of stormtroopers, led by Commander Pyre, holding the other members of Team Fireball at blaster-point. When he asks what's going on, Pyre responds that the entire crew is under arrest.

Kaz argues that the First Order is forcing people to stay on the platform and depriving them of their freedom while instating unnecessarily strict rules, while Tam argues that this is for their own safety & security and that sacrificing some values has to be done for the greater good. If Tam's argument wasn't already invalidated by the audience already knowing that the First Order is evil, there would likely be very similar discussions about this in the fanbase.

Added DiffLines:

* HumanLadder: Hype is unwillingly used as a Rodian ladder by Aunt Z when she wants to look out of the cargo container's air vent, twice. Both times, he has good reason to complain as Aunt Z is ''much'' heavier than him.

Returning to the repair shop, Kaz and Torra agree that they have to do something, and attempt to talk to Yeager. However, Neeku tells them he's busy and doesn't want to be disturbed. Kaz gets Yeager to let him and Torra in by telling him that Hype and Aunt Z have been arrested, and upon being let in they're surprised to find Captain Doza inside as well.

having CB-23 push a laden cart up to the troopers. They notice it's an unscheduled delivery and open up the crates... only to be met with a number of angry gorgs, leaving them too distracted dealing with the pesky creatures to notice Kaz and Torra slipping into the lift.

''Kaz and Torra investigate the disappearance of a friend and plan to free them from the First Order.''

to:

''Kaz A race is going on at the Colossus, with Hype Fazon in the lead, as usual. As Captain Doza watches, Commander Pyre, via hologram, insists that he cancel the races due to the pirate threat, suggesting that the racing community is how pirates can get spies onto the platform. Doza counters that the races are the only thing left keeping up morale on the Colossus, and Torra investigate Pyre responds with a veiled threat.

At Aunt Z's,
the disappearance of Aleena Grevel gets into a friend confrontation with a First Order ball droid, before leaving. Rushing in, Neeku tells Kaz and plan Tam that there's going to free be another Ace trial held next week, meaning one of them from could join the Aces. Aunt Z confirms it. Kaz and Tam begin to get into another argument about the implications of the First Order.''
Order's presence, with Tam still maintaining a massive blind spot about them, believing that they make the platform more secure, while Kaz counters that soon enough things will be so secure that no one will be able to do anything.

* BadLiar: Kaz's tendency to cover up his spy work to Tam this way catches up to him, with her outright telling the oblivious Neeku that she's confident there's something weird going on. If it wasn't for her blind spot regarding the First Order, Kaz would probably be willing to be more open with her...
* BaitAndSwitch: After Kaz tells Torra he's come up with a way to sneak into the tower, the next scene is CB-23 pushing a cart stacked with crates up to the door. The stormtroopers note it isn't a routine delivery and open the crate... only to find, instead of Kaz or Torra, several gorgs. While the troopers are distracted dealing with the pesky critters, Kaz and Torra sneak by them into the turbolift.
