Some of Alexander Courage's cues from "[[Recap/StarTrekS1E0TheCage The Cage]]" were reused too, most notably the "Talosian illusion" theme. One piece of music from "[[Recap/StarTrekSE14WhereNoManHasGoneBefore Where No Man Has Gone Before]]" was reused in the climactic fight scene in Engineering between Kirk and Khan.
