Sandy's Rocket: Sandy shows [=SpongeBob=] her rocket, who wants to go to the moon with her, but she refuses. Patrick and [=SpongeBob=] go to the rocket while Sandy is sleeping and break in. There, the two accidentally launch into space and around the moon. When returning, they think they are on the moon, and start to kidnap the residents of Bikini Bottom, mistaking them for aliens.

He doesn't take them off, and it results in Mr. Krabs stealing them back and hiding them from [=SpongeBob=]. [=SpongeBob=] finds out, and Mr. Krabs is left with a tough decision.

* LooseFloorboardHidingSpot: Mr. Krabs gives SpongeBob a pair of $2.00 fishing boots that he tried unsuccessfully to give Pearl for her birthday in place of the Flipper Slippers she wanted, passing them off as official Fry Cook boots. The squeaking of the boots drives Mr. Krabs crazy, to the point where he sneaks into SpongeBob's house, takes them, and hides them under the floorboards of the Krusty Krab. After SpongeBob becomes upset from losing the boots, Mr. Krabs begins to hear them squeaking even though SpongeBob isn't wearing them. Mr. Krabs confesses what he did, then takes the boots out from under the floorboards, cooks them in french fry oil, and eats them to stop the squeaking.
* MisophoniaGag: The entire episode revolves around this. Spongebob loves the boots, but their incessant squeaking so annoys Mr. Krabs that it eventually causes SanitySlippage, as he actually deep fries and ''eats'' the boots. It makes him feel better...until his hiccups make the same squeaks.

** The scenes of [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick floating through space take obvious inspiration from ''Film/2001ASpaceOdyssey''. The book can even be seen floating by briefly.

* WingdingEyes: When Mr. Krabs picks up the boots after lifting the Krusty Krab, his eyes turn into X's

* AbnormalAmmo: Sandy's collecting guns, which shoot nets to capture samples. [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick use it to trap "aliens".

* AdaptationExpansion: A chapter book version of the episode has an extended ending. After [=SpongeBob=] finds out that he was on the moon, he let everybody out of the nets and apologized to all of the characters for what he's done. Sandy takes control of her ship to take everybody back home, but not before she uses the net gun on [=SpongeBob=] in his place.

* AxCrazy: Mr. Krabs after Spongebob's boots are hidden under the floorboards of the Krusty Krab, and he keeps hearing the squeaking sounds everywhere he looks.
