* AesopAmnesia: Amber doesn't appear to have learned from "Tea for Too Many" that bigger isn't always better when she suggests the cake for the Villager's Ball be 100 layers tall. The lesson seems to have sunk in for real when her family is forced to bake the cake in order to get into the castle in the climax.

* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: The events of the episode wouldn't have happened if Miranda hadn't found the wishing-granting mirror in the attic, much less hung it up in the castle, in the first place.

* WritersCantDoMath: The "100 layer" cake the royal family tries to bake doesn't even look like it has 100 layers. Though it's worth noting that the family is still new to baking.

* TheSimpleLifeIsSimple: While it's mainly baking with farming on the side, King Roland believes this, so much that when he accidentally wishes that he was a baker instead of a king, he wants to stay for a while rather than undo the spell. What happens is a SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome, and the family fails to adapt, with them only getting by because Sofia and her mother have actual farming and baking experience from their pre-royalty life.
