* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Alexander shot Martha during her speech, intending Clark to catch the bullet that's made of Kryptonite. As far as the public's concern, Martha was believe to have been shot by an anti-vigilante supporter, which generate sympathy for the pro-vigilante movement.

Earth-2 Lionel resurfaces on Earth-1, wrests control of [=LuthorCorp=] from Tess and Oliver, tracks down Alexander and begins grooming the young clone to be his heir. Martha is shot at a pro-vigilante rally.

* OhCrap: This is the general consensus every time a character finds out that Earth-2 Lionel is on Earth-1. Special mention goes to Tess, who seems uncharacteristically nervous in her first scene with him ([[ParentalAbandonment naturally]]) and more than eager to invoke the GodzillaThreshold later when she, Clark, and Oliver are discussing what to do.
