* GreenEyedMonster: With a certain Green-Skinned Frog:
** Kermit pouts off-camera as the Sesame Street News hands off most of the coverage of the actual landing to former newscaster Robert [=MacNeil=].
--->'''Kermit the Frog:''' ''[sarcastically]'' Go ahead and do the actual moon landing. See if I care.
** ...but later, [=MacNeil=] tries to soften Kermit's hurt feelings...
--->'''Kermit the Frog:''' ''[sarcastically]'' Oh, yeah, sure, sure! Now they want the frog back now that all the important stuff is over!\\
'''Robert [=MacNeil=]:''' ..the most important part of all: the trip back home to Earth!\\
'''Kermit:''' ''[sincere]'' Oh...! Oh, well of course! Thank you, Robert [=MacNeil=]!

* SpecialGuest: A double helping. This was Kermit the Frog's first ''new'' appearance since 1990. On a more serious note, the late Robert [=MacNeil=] (of {{Creator/PBS}}'s ''The [=MacNeil=]/Lehrer [=NewsHour=]'') reports on the actual landing event, much to Kermit's chagrin. What makes it more special is that he had retired from news reporting 3 years before his appearance here.

* RunningGag: Selma Chicken shows up again, bouncing around on the moon with the worms, but because of bad timing, no one actually sees her but the Farmer.

to:

* PublicDomainSoundtrack: Again, given the theme of the story arc, the use of Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity and Mars, the Bringer of War suites from Gustav Holst's "The Planets". The third movement of the Jupiter suite is used for Robert [=MacNeil=]'s report, and the first movement is used for the lead-up to the landing, as well as the immediate celebration afterwards. The famous brass-and-drums section from the Mars suite is used for the countdown for the launch back into space.
* RunningGag: Selma Chicken shows up again, bouncing around on the moon with the worms, but because of bad timing, no one actually sees her but the Farmer. She is also instrumental in launching the rocket back into space.

* SneezeOfDoom: Subverted again, as it was just what the rocket needed. Like with Snuffleupagus' sneeze propelling the rocket into space at Launch Day, Selma Chicken sneezes because of the smoke of the engine from the rocket failing to lift off, and its force is more than enough to launch it for its journey back to Earth.
