* HopeSpot: J.D. goes to comfort Dr. Cox after the deaths of Mrs. Sikes and Mr. Dennison, intent on giving him the same pep talk that Cox [[IronicEcho provided him earlier]] in the wake of Jill's death. It briefly gets through to Perry, as it's pointed out that those patients were going to die in a number of hours anyway and that it would have been irresponsible to check for rabies given how few reported cases there are for it per year. Just as J.D. becomes optimistic that he's succeeded in pulling Dr. Cox out of his funk, they get word that Mr. Bradford is in critical condition, and he soon flatlines despite Cox's best efforts. A despondent Cox notes to J.D. that, unlike the other cases, Bradford could have waited up to a ''month'' for a kidney, signaling that Cox believes his own hastiness doomed the man. He then exits the hospital, dismissing J.D.'s attempts to stop him.
