While starting another mystery, the gang encounter comedian Creator/JeffFoxworthy, who's being hampered in his efforts to move the venerable Wainsly Hall by the ghost of a bride who had her heart broken there.
!!This episode includes examples of the following tropes:
* BerserkButton: Though she manages to restrain herself while it's happening, the culprit shifts to SuddenlyShouting during her MotiveRant when she tells Shaggy never to put ketchup on her cooking again.
* {{Bowdlerize}}: Foxworthy's constant commentary about characteristics that make someone a country boy (or girl) seem to be a version of his famous "you might be a redneck" routine with a more PC label.
* TheDogWasTheMastermind: The wedding witch turns out to be the food truck lady. She was a "culinary archaelogist" trying to take samples of Beauregard's cooking so she could recreate it.
* EvenTheRatsWontTouchIt: Shaggy and Scooby, being the chow hounds they are, pick up food from the feast in Wainsly Hall...and spit it out. They don't even try to eat it again until the ending gag.
* HandGagging: While the gang and Jeff are hiding in a piano, the opossum that scared Scooby earlier shows up again and hisses. Everyone except Jeff and Velma has to have their mouths covered to prevent them from spontaneously saying their catchphrases and attracting the ghost's attention.
* RunawayGroom: According to legend, a young woman named Leonora Wainsly was engaged to famous chef Bayard B. Beauregard. However, during the wedding itself, he ran out on her, causing Leonora to curse everything concerned and haunt the hall as the wedding witch.
* WightInAWeddingDress: The eponymous specter appears as a green-skinned, red-eyed woman wearing a wedding dress and bridal veil. It makes sense given her backstory as a jilted bride.
