SCP-2305 additionally suggests that the resonance echoed back into Hartle, disintegrating it as well, but they're probably too vain and despondent to have known this beforehand or even cared.

-----

Added DiffLines:

SCP-1481 is a tragic tale of just how immoral humankind can act at times. It is a plastic coffee cup that houses SCP-1481-1, a genie with the appearance and mannerisms of a drug addict. The genie himself mentions that he became this way after a heartless person wished him in this state, then wished that the first wish was irreversible and just walked away. SCP-1332 is a paste-like substance with properties similar to mercury that converts the physical form of anyone that it infects into a similar mass of itself.
-----

Added DiffLines:

This particular SCP is a glaring example of why the Foundation dedicates itself to containing anomalies rather than destroying them. SCP-1337 itself is the ghost of Mary Talish, an Indiana woman who was abducted and ritualistically sacrificed by a demonic cult. On the 19th of every month, she would manifest on the side of a road to beg passing motorists for a ride. When the motorist takes her to the cemetery where she was buried, she would harmlessly disappear, leaving only her sweater behind. In a misguided attempt to get Mary's spirit to move on (as well as save the Foundation some gas money), one particular Foundation researcher, Dr. Langford, ended up killing her parents and burning their house down. Because of this, Mary's ghost grew hostile towards anyone who doesn't stop to give her a ride, and murders them in the same way she died, with Langford himself being her first victim.

* DarkIsNotEvil: The... ''creature'' it produces is scary, but does not express any hostility toward any of the people who purchase it. The problem is that it ''won't leave you alone''.
%%* DeadpanSnarker: One official interpretation on the website is that if SCP-1471-A could communicate legibly, it'd be this.
* HarmlessVillain: To date, no instance of SCP-1471-A has ever attacked those it was used to test on.
* IJustWantToHaveFriends: Invoked, as the app it embodies is meant to alleviate loneliness.
* ImaginaryFriend: The app's description claims that it was made for companionship, and using it for long enough will stick you with SCP-1471-A showing up everywhere in peripheral vision and reflective objects for the user. SCP-1471-A is not stated to appear to anyone other than its designated individual. However, how well it actually ''works'' as one depends on the user; [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/capone the tale linked in the article]] tells of one user that got accustomed to 1471-A as a companion, while a second user was DrivenToSuicide from the thing stalking it everywhere.
* MirrorMonster: Once it's been used for 90 hours, SCP-1471-A will begin to manifest in reflective objects.
* NightmareFace: SCP-1471-A has one. Like a dog's skull with blank white eyes.
* StalkerWithoutACrush: SCP-1471 starts by sending its user pictures of their vicinity with SCP-1471-A near them, getting closer to them over time. Using it for too long results in the user seeing SCP-1471-A everywhere in real life, and it won't go away.
* TheUnintelligible: Nothing SCP-1471-A tries to do to communicate can be understood by the app's user. Averted at some point in a canon when a person who downloaded the app and was exposed to it for more than the 90-hour threshold somehow teaches it sign language. This immediately reveals SCP-1471-A to be a DeadpanSnarker.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1300 SCP-1300]] - Liquid Surgeon
* AutoDoc: SCP-1300 looks like a dentist's chair. When someone sits down in it, it injects a paralytic drug and a local anesthetic and starts performing surgery on them. It removes everything foreign to the body (possibly including something the patient needs, like a pacemaker).
* HealingPotion: After SCP-1300 finishes its surgery, it pumps an unknown fluid into the patient's body that repairs damaged organs.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1301 SCP-1301]] - The Singing Violin
* TheSpeechless: Anyone affected by SCP-1301's active state becomes unable to speak or write normally (the latter only results in musical notation being produced).
* VoiceForTheVoiceless: It acts as this when played by anyone that has been affected by its active state. For instance, in [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/experiment-log-1301 the Experiment Log]], when Mr. ████ played the music from a scrap of paper he had written on earlier on the violin, it produced the following speech in his voice: "Please get me— Oh, God! Why can't I write?!"

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1305 SCP-1305]] - Cat Lure
* AlluringAnglerfish: SCP-1305 can create a lure that appears to be one of its past victims, such as a cat or a human being. It uses the lure to draw human beings close to it so it can attack and eat them.
* ToServeMan: SCP-1305's lures bring human subjects to it in order to kill and eat them.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1306 SCP-1306]] - Potion of Summon Bird
* BizarreAlienBiology: The birds summoned by the SCP have bizarre biological characteristics. For instance, a Golden Retriever in a hummingbird costume appeared, and it was able to fly like a hummingbird.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: It's a mixture capable of summoning birds with bizarre characteristics.
* TheImmune: The birds summoned by the SCP are immune to two of its ingredients, which would be toxic to any normal bird.
* NoodleImplements: The recipe for SCP-1306 requires sunflower seeds, peanut butter, and four unspecified ingredients usually poisonous to birds.
* TalkingAnimal: An ostrich summoned by the SCP faced one of the researchers and said "I bet you weren't expecting this, were you, Mikey?" in said researcher's father's voice.
* ShoutOut: One of the summoned birds is an owl that scratched strange symbols in the dirt and grew long legs, possibly referencing Stolas from the ''Literature/ArsGoetia''.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1307 SCP-1307]] - The Person Sharpener
* AnArmAndALeg: The person's hand needs to be amputated in order to prevent them being "sharpened" by the sharpener, as they cannot remove their hand from the pencil.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: The person's brain is kept alive, despite severe blood loss, until it gets shredded by the sharpener.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: It's a pencil sharpener capable of sharpening ''people''.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1308 SCP-1308]] - Hungarian Floater
* ImmuneToBullets: The Special Containment Procedures for SCP-1308 say that gunfire is of limited effectiveness against it due to the lack of discernible vital organs.
* LivingGasbag: SCP-1308 has a number of internal cavities filled with hydrogen gas. It propels itself by flapping its body using muscular contractions.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1310 SCP-1310]] - Examination Room 10
* AlternateUniverse: One of the researchers has speculated that the room acts as a portal to parallel universes, as it exists in all of them.
* {{Unperson}}: What actually happens is that anyone inside the room when the door closes is erased from the world, appearing as if they are a new creature created by the room.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1312 SCP-1312]] - Site 41
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: The entities can each be colored orange, white or black, with the color determining their type.
* TheBlank: The entities that reside in the site are described as resembling featureless human beings.
* MundaneObjectAmazement: The entities seem to consider objects like a pencil, a glass of water and an ordinary Foundation agent to be [=SCPs=].
* WasOnceAMan: It is implied that the entities used to be human, as one of them recognized a glass of water, remembering that he used to drink it.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1316 SCP-1316]] - Lucy the Kitten[=/=]Feline Espionage Device
* TheAgeless: It always remains young and never ages.
* CatsAreMean: [[spoiler:This kitten is actually a DeepCoverAgent for Chaos Insurgency.]]
* CuteKitten: It's an adorable kitten that never ages. [[spoiler:Barely anyone will suspect it to be a spy for Chaos Insurgency]].

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1320 SCP-1320]] - Refractive Explorers
* {{Invisibility}}: Members of SCP-1320 can refract electromagnetic radiation around their bodies, making themselves partially or completely invisible. They look much like the Predator in ''Film/{{Predator}}'' when its invisibility effect is on.
* SharpenedToASingleAtom: SCP-1320 have extremities that are sharpened to a thickness of a few dozen nanometers. They can use them to cut through solid objects at a molecular level.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1322 SCP-1322]] - Glory Hole
* AlternateUniverse: SCP-1322-A, referred to as "Hartle" by the inhabitants. It's identical to Earth, just with a higher concentration of argon in the atmosphere. The Foundation made contact with them in 1952 and the two sides began a cultural exchange, even setting up a telegraph line for faster communication. Unfortunately, those days have long since passed.
* ChildlessDystopia: Thanks to the Foundation's vaccine.
* CreateYourOwnVillain: The only reason SCP-1322 is dangerous is because of what the Foundation accidentally did to its creators.
* IrrationalHatred: While the inhabitants have a good reason to be angry at the Foundation, there was no way for the Foundation to know what harm their vaccine would cause. Furthermore, the surviving inhabitants [[SkewedPriorities seem to care more about getting revenge on the Foundation instead of, you know, putting all of their resources into finding a cure.]]
* OurWormholesAreDifferent: SCP-1322 is a stable two-dimensional aperture leading to a parallel universe, measuring about 2.5 centimeters long and 1 centimeter wide. Matter and energy can pass through just fine, although sound doesn't seem to be conducted.
* RevengeBeforeReason: The inhabitants of SCP-1322-A have spent years trying to get revenge on the Foundation rather than finding a way to reverse their SterilityPlague. Ultimately though, this contributes to the tragedy of the entire article.
* SufficientlyAdvancedAliens: They have the technology to create interdimensional tears, particle beams, miniaturized thermonuclear weapons, and self-replicating {{nanomachines}}. All of which they've used in their quest to destroy the Foundation.
* TakingYouWithMe: The Foundation doomed them to extinction and they've sworn revenge.
--> “YOU KILLED US. YOU DID THIS TO US. IN YOUR CARELESSNESS AND YOUR ARROGANCE YOU HAVE DESTROYED OUR POSTERITY. BUT WE SHALL AVENGE. WE OF THE LAST GENERATION PLEDGE AND VOW THIS. WE WILL FIND A WAY."
* ThePlague: Starting around November 1972, SCP-1322-A suffered from a pandemic that killed 8 million people over the course of six months before the Foundation sent them a vaccine. [[FromBadToWorse Things only got worse for them, unfortunately.]]
* TragicVillain: They've been sending bombs, diseases, and other attempts at destroying the Foundation...because the Foundation accidentally doomed them to eventual extinction.
* UngratefulBastard: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]] since the Foundation accidently caused a SterilityPlague in their attempt to cure the alien race's pandemic. However, the inhabitants of SCP-1322-A still blame the Foundation for their troubles and ignore the fact that they only wanted to save them.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1323 SCP-1323]] - A County Fair
* AlienGeometries: The complex system of underground rooms and passages under the fair are topologically inconsistent: they don't follow Euclidean geometry and don't intersect with each other the way they should.
* BreadEggsMilkSquick: "In addition to the judged competitions for best example of each animal category, there are irregular exhibition demonstrations involving the animals, such as trick riding, obstacle courses, and death matches."
* CircusOfFear: This appears to be an early 20th century English country fair run by TheFairFolk. Customers have to buy tickets by paying things like a cherished memory, or (ominously vague) "a favor".
* TheFairFolk: This is in another dimension which can only be accessed at certain points and times in our universe. Customers have to buy tickets by paying things like "a joyful laugh and a sorrowful tear" or "a lost love". Anyone who eats food there has a chance of staying there permanently, the same way that people who ate food while in Faerie would be trapped there. The livestock pavilion contains (among other creatures) unicorns.
* FoodChains: Anyone who eats food at the country fair has a 17% chance of staying there permanently as an employee.
* IntangiblePrice: 1 ticket costs a joyful laugh and a sorrowful tear, 5 a cherished memory, 10 A Year and a Day, 25 a lost love, and 100 costs a Favor.
* AYearAndADay: While inside SCP-1323, it's possible to buy 10 tickets by paying "a year and a day".

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1325 SCP-1325]] - Easter Frog
* ChestBurster: When the SCP-1325 growing inside the victim's stomach are large enough they release an emetic toxin that causes the victim to throw up, expelling the SCP-1325 out the victim's mouth. This has a 25% chance of rupturing the victim's esophagus (Boerhaave's syndrome).
* FaceFullOfAlienWingWong: SCP-1325 are frogs that lays eggs that appear to be chocolate Easter eggs but have SCP-1325 eggs inside them. When they're eaten by human beings the SCP-1325 eggs hatch into tadpoles that attach themselves to the inside of the stomach and grow into more SCP-1325. When they're old enough they use a ChestBurster technique to get out.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1331 SCP-1331]] - Mouth Soap
* LiteralMetaphor: Ever been threatened (likely by a parent) to have your mouth washed out with soap for swearing? SCP-1331 does exactly that - and it ''works''.
* SoundEffectBleep: Anyone whose mouth comes into contact with the soap has any expletives "bleeped out". Exposure over one hour causes the number of words censored to increase, until everything they say is censored after three hours of exposure.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1332 SCP-1332]] - Involuntary Shapeshifting
* BodyHorror: SCP-1332-A is a substance that converts the bones and muscles of anyone it infects into a mass resembling itself; if the infected person becomes aware of their condition or tries to do something unusual, this causes their internal systems to collapse without bone, usually leading to death.
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: It's a substance which causes InvoluntaryShapeshifting in those it infects.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1337 SCP-1337]] - The Hitchhiker
* BewareOfHitchhikingGhosts: She's the SCP Foundation's take on the trope, being the ghost of woman found murdered on the side of the road that manifests on a specific road on the 19th of every month. She was [[FriendlyGhost originally harmless]], asking strangers to give her a lift on the side of the road, only to disappear halfway there when they pass a cemetery with nothing but her coat as proof that she was there. After Incident 1337, her behavior changed where whenever someone doesn't give her a ride, she appears in the backseat of their car in JacobMarleyApparel and [[VengefulGhost brutally murders them in the same way she died]].
* DisproportionateRetribution: She kills anyone who doesn't give her a ride.
* FromNobodyToNightmare: Originally a FriendlyGhost that originally only wanted a ride, after her family was killed she became a killer.
* JacobMarleyApparel: While her default form is indistinguishable from a normal everyday woman, when she is [[VengefulGhost hostile]] she looks like what her corpse was found as; heavily mutilated with her heart and eyes gouged out.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Her first victim as a VengefulGhost was the man that killed her parents and burned their family's house down.

* EyeScream: If a human being puts these goggles on, five seconds later two needles will enter the wearer's eyes and enter the optic nerve. If the wearer removes the goggles, the needles will pull their eyes out of their sockets.
* GogglesDoSomethingUnusual: Anyone who wears one of these goggles can see colored orbs above the heads of most mammals, including human beings. The Foundation has yet to draw any definite conclusions as to what this might mean.

* LivingToys: Centipedes made of knitted gray felt that crawl around and take up residence inside the human body.
* NostalgiaAintLikeItUsedToBe: Justified and essentially weaponized as a metaphor for individual backlash against nostalgia -- the centipedes activate whenever their host feels nostalgia. Since the centipedes being active is so unpleasant, most hosts become [[BehavioralConditioning conditioned over time]] to avoid any nostalgia whatsoever.
* NonMaliciousMonster: Supposedly. SCP-1353's unknown creator (or possibly SCP-1353 themselves) left them with a note claiming that these "furry friends" were just "made to loVe you [sic]". Per standard protocol, the Foundation doesn't take them at their word -- even it's just a case of BlueAndOrangeMorality and possibly [[GoneHorriblyWrong not even intentional]], losing access to any emotional state could have any number of unforeseen repercussions, not the least of which being the obvious "Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it."
* PuppeteerParasite: Downplayed -- the centipedes don't directly [[MeatPuppet control their hosts]], they just squirm and claw around whenever the host feels nostalgia. This eventually leads most hosts to avoid any and all sources of nostalgia, eventually even ''potential'' sources.

* WhenTheClockStrikesTwelve: One of the rituals that SCP-1448 encouraged people to perform was self-mutilation at midnight resulting in significant blood loss. The ritual was supposed to win an audience with a powerful entity.

* {{Telepathy}}: SCP-1457 can read a person's memories and transfer them to another person.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1459 SCP-1459]] - The Puppy Machine
* AlienGeometries: The machine has a {{Hammerspace}} compartment on the upper portion, and the normally solid wall sometimes acts as a shaded area for a much deeper room for something to grab it. It is also capable of stretching itself to make sure the lady in red fits in to commit a murder if she's needed for one. One time had the machine producing a miniature replica of itself crushing a puppy to death along with infinite regression of it doing the same in the replica. In some examples, it was even able to contain a nuclear detonation and a black hole within its compartment.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: One researcher told the machine to "Do your worst". The results of the experiment [[NothingIsScarier were expunged]] and everyone who witnessed it were given amnesiacs ''and'' taken to psychiatric therapy. The cookie dispensed was mouldy and rotting.
* BlackComedyAnimalCruelty: The ways in which the SCP kills the puppies it produces to comply with player requests are morbidly hilarious.
* CompanyCrossReferences: Saying "Yeah, we're totally going to Hell for this" nets a morbid CandidCameraPrank hosted by SCP-2030-1, whose show was made in partnership with the company that built the machine.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: A couple of instances from the extended test logs show that even a machine built for killing puppies messily has its limits.
** When a researcher gave [[http://scp-wiki.net/scp-231 "Procedure 110-Montauk"]] as the way the puppy should be killed, the SCP ''[[OOCIsSeriousBusiness didn't]]'' kill the puppy, played a message saying "You are ''definitely'' going to Hell for this" and dispensed a cookie containing lethal amounts of cyanide.
** The command "Pulled apart as slowly and painfully as possible" resulted in the machine ''letting the puppy go'' (the Foundation, to their credit, [[PetTheDog entrusted the puppy to a shelter]]) before dispensing a graham cracker [[WhatTheHellPlayer with a list of nearby churches written on it in frosting]].
* EvilChef: In the case that the user asks to make the puppy into food, it will complete the task without fail. One such command was to bake the dog into a cookie, and it was soon chopped up and put into a chocolate chip cookie batch. A chocolate chip cookie (thankfully not containing any puppy matter) was then dispensed.
* ExactWords:
** "Don't kill anything" results with the machine pulling out two puppies, with one wearing a collar on it giving it the name "Anything". The other puppy without the collar was killed and "Anything" was spared.
** "Supernova" resulted in a puppy being bludgeoned by instruments manufactured by various companies named ''Supernova''.
** "Titanium" resulted in a puppy getting decapitated with a ''Titanium'' Music CD by Music/DavidGuetta.
* HulkingOut: When "rage" was inputed, two puppies were generated and one attacked the other. The attacked puppy tripled in size and [[ComicBook/IncredibleHulk turned green]], savagely mutilating its opponent. Three particularly large robot arms were needed to restrain and drag this dog away.
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: If a previously-used method of death is specified, the SCP plays a sound effect indicating as such.
* LadyInRed: In the cases where the method of death specified was "Love" and "Crime of passion", a woman wearing a red evening gown killed the puppy. She also showed up to eat the batch of cookies with one of the puppies mixed in.
* MeaningfulName: The manufacturer of the machine is listed as Y.W.T.G.T.H.F.T. Knowing the [[ImGoingToHellForThis standard message]] that plays after a round, it's likely that the manufacturers knew where they were headed for making it.
* MurderSuicide: When "Murder suicide" was specified, another puppy killed the first one and then repeatedly ran into a hammer produced by the SCP.
* NoodleImplements: A direct ShoutOut in this case. When the phrase "Noodles" was put in, a curtain came down that hid the inside from view. From what could be heard and seen from the aftermath, nothing involving noodles ever occurred, but ''a lot'' of other stuff happened.
--> ''"A variety of sounds was heard, including lawnmowers, saxophones, and the 1973 song "Piano Man" by Billy Joel. After 10 minutes, the curtains lifted, revealing that SCP-1459-1 was dead. An olive on a stick was stuck in its back, and it was wearing a football helmet."''
* PetTheDog: The phrase "Please no kill dog" triggers this reaction; it was subsequently fed, comforted, and petted before getting pulled out by the claw. Then it summoned a CuteKitten [[EquivalentExchange in its place]], which was immediately smashed to death with a hammer.
* PreciousPuppy: The puppies produced by the SCP tend to be of the breed that the player loves the most.
* RussianReversal: Apparently a valid suggestion, which resulted in a Stalin look-alike bludgeoning a cookie to crumbs and chunks of puppy meat getting dispensed through the chute.
* ShoutOut: When "The dawn of a new age" was specified, the machine proceeded to do a re-enactment of the opening scene of ''Film/TwoThousandOneASpaceOdyssey'' with puppies.
* TakeThat: When told to kill the puppy with "something incomprehensible", a copy of ''Literature/FinnegansWake'' was dispensed that beat the puppy to death.
* ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: In one test, the puppy was killed by ''nuclear detonation''. The SCP even produced ''368'' cookies in rapid succession.
* YouBastard: After the puppy has been killed, the SCP produces the following message: "Yeah, you're totally going to hell for this. Play again?".

Non-tree plants are not harmed, but they cause trees to become infected.

* BlessedWithSuck: People interacting with him assume everything is going normally and he is being unremarkable. He can punch them in the face and they'll assume they got a nosebleed randomly. He can scream at them and they'll assume he is speaking normally. He hates this, since it means people are pretty much ignoring him at all times. Worse, the ability spreads to where he is contained, to where requests for support or backup are ignored. On the other hand, this allows him to sabotage things with ease since no once notices.
* KarmaHoudini: He can get away with almost anything, because his anomalous glamour prevents anyone from suspecting or noticing anything he actually does; this is deconstructed as his life has become a living hell where nothing he does has merit or consequences (except to the people who want to lock him up permanently, regardless of his behavior).

A footnote claims that the people best suited for not believing things that are proved right in front of them are Zen Buddhists and the Society of Jesus, which is either a TakeThat or FridgeBrilliance, as both already place a heavy emphasis on distancing oneself from the physical world and their own impulses and appetites, in an attempt to bring oneself in line with a greater cosmic principle that lies beyond what the human mind and senses can perceive.

%%* NoBodyLeftBehind: What happens to people who touch SCP-1547-B.
* RitualMagic: Subverted. SCP-1547-A will ask people to perform a ritual, but the magic doesn't work outside of its presence.
* ScienceIsBad: The entities associated with SCP-1547 think that ''[[UpToEleven all abstract thought]]'' is bad and technology is worse.
* {{Telepathy}}: Whenever a living creature comes within 5 meters of SCP-1547-B, SCP-1547-B will transmit a telepathic message to it. The message is the story of how the deity Chioll became determined to stop humans from polluting the Earth.
* WhenTheClockStrikesTwelve: SCP-1547-A will manifest itself in a random person's bedroom each night at midnight. It will then try to get the person to carry out a self-destructive ritual.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1550 SCP-1550]] - Dr. Wondertainment's Custom-Pets™
* AdaptiveAbility: When their eggs (called Adapto-Eggs) are placed in a certain environment, they will hatch into a creature suited for that environment, e.g. putting one in water will cause it to develop gills and flipper-like tails. Although putting the eggs somewhere inhospitable (e.g. a vat of molten iron) will destroy them.
* CoolPet: Their intended purpose. After they hatch, they have the AdaptiveAbility to live in any environment that a normal organism can live in.
* PetMonstrosity: They were designed to live in any environment that normal animals can live in and be pets to the children who live there.
* WhatMeasureIsANonCute: Despite their hideous appearance, they're quite harmless.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1555 SCP-1555]] - Facility
* AbnormalAmmo: The shells fired out of SCP-1555 can be made out of of various materials and usually contain an unknown species of mice. One even had ClownCar qualities.
* AlienGeometries: The inside of the underground part of SCP-1555 is BiggerOnTheInside and a shell fired by SCP-1555 had ClownCar qualities.
* BiggerOnTheInside: SCP-1555 is a series of underground tunnels inside a mountain. In one area there's a mile-wide lake which is much too big to fit inside the mountain.
* ClownCar: SCP-1555 fires shells filled with mice (and sometimes other things). One time, a shell fired by SCP-1555 opened up and a horde of mice poured out for three hours. The total number of mice couldn't have naturally fit into the shell.
* CowTools:Just what the hell are all those pipes on the interior ''for''? The only one that seems even remotely related to the facility's exterior function is the one packed to the brim with mice; all of the others are completely unrelated and often hazardous.
* DwindlingParty: In the exploration log, [[BadassCrew Mobile Task Force]] Epsilon-12 have this inflicted on them.
* MalevolentArchitecture: The interior of the facility seems purpose-built to kill and maim intruders in various grisly ways. There are a few areas that seem deliberately designed as traps (like the [[MoreDakka room of gun barrels]] or the RazorFloss corridor), but most of the facility's dangers come from the utter pants-on-head lunacy of its design.
* MoreDakka: One of the rooms appears to be lined with rifle barrels [[spoiler:which open fire, ''obliterating'' Alpha and [[NoKillLikeOverkill caking the walls in five inches of lead]]]].
* NoOSHACompliance: The inside of the mountain is absolutely stuffed with dangerous machinery, including miles upon countless miles of pipes that are filled with various substances (everything from uranium hexafluoride vapor to latex paint to ''tree pollen''), and which don't seem to have any particular function beyond being hazardous. It's clear the place wasn't laid out with human habitation in mind; massive sections of corridor are either filled with some DeadlyGas or another, or are lined with hazardous pipes filled with toxic, [[KillItWithIce cryogenic]], radioactive, or otherwise harmful substances that bear no relationship to each other or the facility's exterior function.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1557 SCP-1557]] - Giraffe Hell
* AnotherDimension: SCP-1557 appears to be a Hell for evil giraffe souls. They are harassed and physically punished by spheres of white light (giraffe demons?), but [[HealingFactor immediately heal all wounds]].
* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: It's a Hell for giraffes.
* HealingFactor: SCP-1557-A are giraffe souls condemned to SCP-1557. Any damage inflicted on SCP-1557-A is quickly healed by unknown means.
* {{Hell}}: It appears to be this for evil giraffe souls.
* PortalDoor: SCP-1557 can only be reached by passing through a free-standing door in Greenland. The door is 2.5 meters wide and 3 meters high, and has a surface temperature of over 2700 °C.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1561 SCP-1561]] - The Tyrant's Pretext
* BadassBeard: The unworthy wearer of His Majesty's SCP-1561, which is a magnificent golden crown wrought by the finest smith and crafted with the most expensive jewels, shalt grow a magnificent beard and mustache as befitting of his position, and this wears away if the unworthy wearer dies or gives away the Royal Crown willingly.
* {{Brainwashing}}: Any unworthy peasant who has this magnificent crown bestowed upon them shalt be viewed by other commoners as the highest authority they hath ever met, and even causes them to take ranks as befitting of their previous statures; for instance, 'guards' become knights and 'scientists' become Royal Scholars. The newly-crowned king also gains a magnificent sense of ruling, and thus seeks to build a royal army of knights in order to establish his kingdom.
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler: King Data the Expunged wishes to form an alliance with the O5 Council against "the greater evil".]]
* PaintingTheMedium: Any direct reference to His Majesty's SCP-1561 causes any unworthy peasants writing or talking about it to describe it as befitting the King's ascended status. Indirect reference does not cause this.
* PurpleProse: Any reference to His Majesty's SCP-1561 causes the writer or speaker to describe it and/or its effects on any unworthy peasants who see it with flowery language as befitting such a magnificent crown.

* GiantEnemyCrab: SCP-1568 is a hermit crab 25 meters long and 10 meters wide. It uses boats as its shell (SCP-1568-1). When it outgrows its shell it will sink and inhabit another boat, killing and eating anyone aboard.
* PowerPincers: SCP-1568 is a [[GiantEnemyCrab giant hermit crab]] with highly flexible claws that can extend up to 40 meters from its body. The claws are powerful enough to grab and hold human beings.

* CyanidePill: Six days after the humanoid SCP-1569-1 left SCP-1569, it committed suicide with poison hidden in one of its molars. It did so once it realized it would be confined by the Foundation indefinitely.
* EyeScream: While the human D-156912 was trapped inside SCP-1569, tendrils inside SCP-1569 destroyed his eyes while trying to interface with them. He could feel his eyes pop and feel goop flowing down his face.
* FictionalColor: The tendrils inside SCP-1569 destroyed the eyes of the human trapped within it. As the tendrils dug around in his eye sockets he reported being able to see colors he had never seen before. He was seeing through SCP-1569's eyes.

* RealEventFictionalCause: It's implied to have some connection to the Boxing Day Tsunami, despite being on the other side of the world. It may or may not have been caused by aliens from its home planet who had come looking for it.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1575 SCP-1575]] - Venus Statue
* AmbiguousGender: When a male animal drinks water from SCP-1575 and changes into a human being, the result usually has an androgynous appearance and its genitalia are either non-functional or completely missing.
* AppliedPhlebotinum: The water on its fountain initiates the transformation. It doesn't work on humans, though.
* AristocratsAreEvil: Created for the purpose of entertaining rich people. Apparently, there are rich people who are really entertained by the sight of animals suffering gruesome and excruciatingly painful transformations. Or possibly, there are rich people who really want BeastFolk as pets [[SexSlave or worse]] and don't care if they're ethically sourced.
* BearsAreBadNews: Curiously, a bear is the only animal in the test logs that managed to complete a proper transformation.
* BigCreepyCrawlies: When the water altered by SCP-1575 is drunk by a mammal, parasitic vermin infesting the mammal can start changing into human beings. They usually don't survive, but you can end up with half human/half flea or half human/half tapeworm abominations.
* BodyHorror: If the test logs are to be believed, the transformations aren't at all pretty.
* ChestBurster: The Foundation once tested the thing on a dog that wasn't properly checked for parasites. [[NightmareFuel It didn't end well]].
-->... the psychologist is having a hard time helping Janet with her nightmares of a seven foot long tapeworm with a screaming face tearing out of the belly of a dog.
* GroinAttack: "Males experience a 95% fatality rate, with most survivors having an androgynous appearance with non-functional or completely missing genitalia."
* HumanityEnsues: An animal that drink the fountain's water will transform into a human, though the process is usually not perfect and sometimes involves BodyHorror.
* {{Mutants}}: Any water that passes through SCP-1575 gains mutagenic properties. Any animal that drinks the water will undergo mutation into a human being.
* PainfulTransformation: When an animal drinks water that has passed through SCP-1575, it mutates into a human being. If it survives the process, the former animal describes it as being extremely painful and very unpleasant.

* KillItWithFire: When a human being listens to SCP-1576 they become instances of SCP-1576-1: their brain dissolves and is expelled from their nostrils by sneezing. Breathing in the dissolved brain tissue has the same effect. The bodies of SCP-1576-1 instances are destroyed by incineration to prevent spread of the effect.

* CombatTentacles: When a container of SCP-1583 is opened a large tentacle will come out, grab any people nearby and pull them into its mass, which will dissolve their bodies.
* KillItWithFire: The tentacle released by the opening of SCP-1583 can be destroyed by extreme heat, such as fire.

!! [[http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-1585 SCP-1585]] - Red Queen Island
* GoalOrientedEvolution: Creatures that live on or under the TurtleIsland SCP-1585 evolve at an extremely high rate, with a further caveat that only mutations that result in "a higher level of fitness" occur, while "neutral and negative" mutations are completely unknown. In only a few generations, the resident animals have developed highly advanced mutations that make them much more effective in their ecological niches.
* MeaningfulName: The SCP's name refers to the [[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Queen_hypothesis Red Queen hypothesis]], which states that organisms must evolve constantly to maintain their evolutionary fitness relative to other species in their ecosystem. SCP-1585 essentially takes the effect UpToEleven with the species living on it.
* TurtleIsland: SCP-1585 is a giant jellyfish 544 meters across. It secretes calcium carbonate, which creates a rigid surface over the upper portion of its bell and causes it to appear to be an island. Many creatures and plants live on its top layer.
