Veronica hires Jughead to find out who tried to kill Hiram, while trying to keep up appearances that her father is still running his business. Jughead discovers that Hermione is having an affair with Minetta. Jughead also questions Hiram's mistress, [[Creator/KellyRipa Ms. Mulwray]], and uncovers that she help cover up the Fizzle Rocks spillage that caused the seizures. Archie is suffering after failing the [=SAT=]s and everything Hiram put him through. He is day-drinking instead of dealing with his pain and Josie helps keep him from bottoming out.

Elsewhere, a spiralling Archie sets out on a new path, while Jughead comes face to face with Ms. Mulwray, Hiram's alleged mistress. Guest starring Creator/KellyRipa as Ms. Mulwray.
