*ContinuityNod: The three gals seen doing a conga-line with Kryten in an old photo are Jane, Tracy, and Anne. They can be identified by having blonde, brunette, and red hair, and are also wearing the same orange ''Nova 5'' jumpsuits from the Series 2 episode.

Added DiffLines:

* TragicTimeTraveler: This episode introduces a method of time travel involving mutated photographs. Whilst Lister's attempts to use them to become rich and famous are initially successful, Rimmer's attempts to do the same - by giving him younger self information on how to patent the "tension sheet" are completely unsuccessful, as another boy overheard and patented it before Rimmer. For bonus points, it does have the positive benefit of leaving Rimmer actually alive as opposed to originally being a Virtual Ghost in the original timeline, a change which is almost immediately ruined when he brings his fists down on several crates of explosives.

* HandWave: The only explanation given for how the photos come to life is Holly noting that the developing fluid "must have mutated". May have to do with either [[Recap/RedDwarfSeasonIFutureEchoes hitting lightspeed]], [[Recap/RedDwarfSeasonIIStasisLeak developing the stasis leak]], the [[Recap/RedDwarfSeasonIIParallelUniverse Holly Hop Drive]], or some combination thereof.

* ExplainExplainOhCrap: Lister finds a parcel in Hitler's briefcase signed "To Adolf, love and hugs, Staff Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg", and Rimmer recalls that von Stauffenberg is famous for something. Oh, yes, that's it, he tried to assassinate Hitler by putting a bomb in his briefcase...
