* YouGotSpunk: According to Raven, boldly walking into her stronghold and demanding favors takes strength.

Trope misuse; the trope requires the bullies to know exactly who the victim is and just how powerful/dangerous that person is, but they still bully them regardless. The bandits had no idea who Yang was.

* BullyingTheDragon: Shady Man should've known better that attacking a huntress-in-training who already beat the crap out of him, even with backup, is a bad idea. ESPECIALLY when she's the daughter of your boss.

Trope misuse; this is a comedy trope.

* BaitAndSwitch: Previous episodes implied that Yang was looking for Raven to answer personal questions instead of going after Ruby. This episode reveals that Yang is prioritising Ruby over Raven, after all. When Yang reaches Raven, she doesn't care what Raven has to say; because she doesn't know where in Anima Ruby currently is -- but does know she's with Qrow -- Yang merely wants access to Raven's Semblance, which can teleport her straight to Qrow.

Removing potential trope misuse.

* BigDamnReunion: Completely averted with Yang and Raven's meeting. Despite having spent many years looking for her mother Yang doesn't show any enthusiam upon finally finding her or willingness to reconnect with her. Raven on the other hand tries to welcome and congratulâtes Yang but her cavalier comment about Yang finally deciding to visit her, despite the fact that it was her who chose to leave and to not be a part of her daughter's life, only causes Yang to be angered; and the theatrical tone she speaks with and contradictions in her speech imply that she was trying to emotionally manipulate her daughter into joining the tribe. Once Yang reveals that she's here to find Ruby Raven immediatly drops any semblance of warmness.
** Played straight with the reunion between Weiss and Yang with the two sharing a warm hug and Weiss telling Yang that she missed her after being freed and rejoining with her.

This is a character trope and already has an entry on the appropriate page

* {{Hypocrite}}: When Yang insists that Raven teleport her to Qrow so that she find Ruby as fast as possible, Raven demands to know why she would do something. Yang points out they're family, causing Raven to angrily mutter about family only showing up when they need something. In Volume 4, when she met Qrow in a bar, Qrow wanted to know what she wanted. While she initially played the 'visiting family' card, Qrow dismissed it because Raven does not casually visit family -- she only visits family when she wants something from them.

Reworded slightly to minimise the shes and hers.

* BaitAndSwitch: Previous episodes implied that Yang was looking for Raven in order to get some answers. When Yang catches up to her, she doesn't care what she has to say; she just needs her Semblance to teleport to Qrow, and by extension Ruby.
