* RunningGag: Just as Misty and May didn't want Ash to know about their relations to respective Gym leaders (Cerulean and Petalburg, respectively), Clemont and Bonnie don't want Ash to know Clemont is the Lumiose Gym leader. Unsurprising, considering that Ash was one of Clembot's victims and the only reason he wasn't horribly injured was because they were able to intervene.

Mythology Gag and Continuity Nod are not the same thing.

** Magneton and Heliolisk are Pokémon that Clemont uses in the [[VideoGame/PokemonXAndY XY games]]. Missing is Emolga, which is probably a conscious decision on the part of the producers considering Iris had an Emolga in ''Best Wishes''.

* AIIsACrapshoot: Clembot received a dent in its head, which may have messed up its programming, causing it to go way too harsh on trainers visiting the gym for the Voltage Badge.
