'''"How a Resurrection Really Feels"''' is the ninth episode of Season 3 of ''Series/OneTreeHill'' and originally aired December 7th, 2005. The episode was written by Creator/MarkSchwahn and directed by Creator/GregPrange.

As the race to decide the next mayor of Tree Hill comes to a close, Lucas reveals that he knows the truth about the dealership fire to the culprit. Chris and Nathan try to raise funds to release Haley’s masters, whilst Brooke finds a distraction from her recent woes. Meanwhile, Peyton is haunted by her harshest critic.

! Contains examples of the following tropes:

* EasilyForgiven: Lucas ultimately forgives Brooke when she reveals the unsent letters she wrote to him over the summer.
* FreeRangeChildren: When the girls are arrested, they struggle to decide who to call to bail them out as all of their parents are indisposed and not actually in Tree Hill.
* InternalReveal:
** Nathan finds out that Chris kissed Haley at the masquerade ball whilst pretending to be him.
** Nathan finds out that Dan had paid Chris to seduce Haley in an attempt to sabotage their marriage and force through the annulment.
** Haley finds out that Chris had also rented a Batman costume, and starts to question if her kiss with Nathan at the masquerade ball was really with Chris. She realises this was the case after kissing Nathan again and realising the difference between the two kisses.
** Lucas tells Deb that he knows she started the fire, and Dan knows it wasn’t an accident.
* MeaningfulAppearance: Peyton’s subconscious appears to her in her Angel of Death costume from the masquerade ball; the costume is what Peyton wore when she last saw Ellie.
* ProductPlacement: The episode ends on a plug for Clothes Over Bro's merchandise on the official WB store.
* PutOnABus: Chris Keller leaves Tree Hill, having finished helping Haley with her music and not being able to do anything else to help Nathan and Haley.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Deb leaves Dan the moment the election results are in, leaving him to celebrate on his own.
* ShipTease: Peyton’s subconscious taunts Peyton by reminding her that she questions whether Lucas should be with her instead of Brooke.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: After stealing the clothes made with Brooke’s designs from Suburban Filth, Brooke and Peyton are promptly arrested the next morning.
TheReveal: Deb is the one who started the dealership fire.
* {{Troll}}: When Lucas pays for the girls bail, he asks the police to hold off on releasing Brooke as payback for the hoops she’d been making him jump through since the end of summer.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: Dan Scott is the new mayor of Tree Hill.
