Back at their clubhouse, the three celebrate another successful job, and prepare to help Zippoorwhill, who has seemed to lost the attention of her pet dog Ripley recently. Just as Zippoorwhill arrives, Rarity busts in, and tells Sweetie she has planned a day of activities for them. Apple Bloom and Scootaloo assure Sweetie they can cover for her, and Rarity and Sweetie Belle set off.

Rarity's list of events include a lot of activities that Sweetie loved years ago, but no longer, such as puppet shows, balloon animals, and even convincing the old mare that ran the local ice cream parlor out of retirement to make a tiny sundae for Sweetie. Sweetie is afraid to admit to Rarity that she no longer enjoys these though does let her sister know that she's gotten new, more refined interests. Still, Rarity pushes ahead with the more childish activities, much to Sweetie's resentment.

Meanwhile, Apple Bloom and Scootaloo find Ripley doesn't seem to have any interest in any of the toys or games that Zippoorwhill has. Sweetie gets a chance to check in and notes that Ripley is awfully big for a puppy before Rarity whisks her off. Zippoorwhill becomes dejected that she no longer can live up to her cutie mark.

Eventually, while they are taking pictures in funny costumes, Sweetie tells Rarity that she's grown up now, and these childish activities aren't fun anymore, and runs off. Thinking she's being ungrateful, Rarity follows her as Sweetie encounters Zippoorwhill by herself. Zippoorwhill tells Sweetie that Ripley doesn't even show interest in his favorite toy, a small chew bone, and Sweetie realizes what the problem is. She brings Zippoorwhill back to the others and explains that Ripley's grown since he was adopted by her, and the toys and games they played when he was a puppy don't interest him anymore, and instead challenges Zippoorwhill to find new games that an adult Ripley will enjoy. Rarity, who had been overhearing this, steps forward and affirms Sweetie is right, as she herself made the same mistake in assuming Sweetie would enjoy the same activities as yesteryear. The sisters make up while Zippoorwhill finds Ripley very interested in playing fetch-the-stick and renewing her love for her pet.

Rarity and Sweetie finish off the day with a new activity, enjoying giant, oversized sundaes that they can't possibly finish.
