The heroes are left to rot in the dungeon to wait for their banishment to the Realm of Shadow, while Danny blames himself for trusting Drog and Galaxy insists on the importance of the bell they found. Two troggles appear with Drog in tow… and toss him in as well. As it turns out, he didn't betray them -- most troggles do want freedom, but a few are loyal to Grogar and revealed his plan to the ram. The others, he assures, would gladly join a rebellion.

Meanwhile, Bray reports to Grogar that the baby ponies and the Moochick have been captured. Grogar begins the ritual to banish his prisoners to the Realm of Darkness and orders a celebration be made for the upcoming victory. The order part is quite literal -- anyone not found celebrating will be banished alongside the ponies.

In the dungeon, the prisoners manage to break free by filling a crack with gruel and having Fizzy make it bubble until it breaks up a part of the wall. They escape, convince the troggles to rebel, and make another run for the gate. Grogar spots them, however, and starts shooting magic bolts at them. As the heroes cower in what shelter they can find, Paradise finally recalls just what's so special about the bell -- if it's rung, Grogar will lose his powers. Megan hops onto a pegasus' back and flies off for the bell, while the ponies run for freedom again while singing the episode's musical number, Let the Bell of Freedom Ring. Megan rings the bell shortly after another pony baits Grogar into shooting down Tambelon's drawbridge, and the heroes make good their escape.

Just as Megan and her ride flee the city, Tambelon, Grogar and Bray are drawn back to the Realm of Darkness. As the dark city vanishes, Megan states that, since even with the troggles to help it took him five centuries to come back, they can expect not to see him again anytime soon, and the now-free troggles are welcomed into Dream Valley.

!!This episode provides examples of:
* HappinessIsMandatory: When his victory is approaching, Grogar orders the troggles to take part in his victory celebration on pain of being banished to the shadow realm.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Grogar's banishing ritual ultimately proves his undoing. He starts it to banish his prisoners to the Realm of Darkness, but once his magic is taken away he loses the ability to control it and, when it activates at midnight, it overwhelms him and drags him back to his otherworldly prison.
* OhCrap: Grogar has a clear moment of panic when he hears the bell that is his KryptoniteFactor being rung and another when he sees his banishing ritual boil over, before he's overwhelmed by his own magic and banished to the Realm of Darkness.
* SlaveLiberation: The troggles are enslaved by Grogar as much as anyone else, and a large part of Grogar's defeat consists of the heroes convincing them to rise against him.
