* SapientEatSapient: This is an established way-of-things at Charles Darwin Middle School. Basically, "Eat or Be Eaten" is one of the unspoken rules of basic society there.

Added DiffLines:

Bull Sharkowski, the school bully keeps stealing everyone's lunches. To try and stop him, Adam has the brilliant idea to offer his own lunch to him, thinking it will get him to leave people alone.
----
* TheBully: Bull Sharkowski establishes himself as this, perfectly when he debuts (for real) here.
* TheHunterBecomesTheHunted: Adam kept complaining about how he was always chosen to be the prey in predatory stalking class. But, there was nothing the teachers would do about it, since as a human, he is naturally prey to the majority of the animals at the school. Fortunately, Adam stepped up his game, when taking down Bull, and he managed to move up on the food chain, placing humans above sharks.
* MinorInjuryOverreaction: When Bull's fin lightly tapped Adam on the shoulder, Adam had to pretend he had just been brutally assaulted, in order to make Bull look like the bully again.
* NotEvilJustMisunderstood: This was Adam's judgement on Bull, which soon turned out to not be the case at all. However, as soon as Adam "beat up" Bull Sharkowski, guess who started to fit this exact label perfectly?
* ShoutOut: Bull rised up from behind the pack, emulating the famous poster from {{Film/Jaws}} and then devoured Adam's pudding cup.
* StatusQuoIsGod: Being the most feared and avoided bully in school would have thrown a massive curve ball at Adam and the series that follows him. But an event like that happening ''this'' early on in the series? Yeah, not likely. Of course, Adam had to think of some kind of plan to make himself the same downtrodden nerd he was from the beginning of the episode. I don't think I'd be spoiling anything, when I tell you, that he did just that.
* SustainedMisunderstanding: When everyone thought Adam was evil, a lot of innocent things he said were taken as threats.
-->'''Adam:''' Hey, Slips. Gimme five!
-->''[Slips shutters in fear and takes a five dollar bill out of his wallet]''
-->'''Slips:''' Here man, just take all of it! Don't hurt me!
