* ArtisticLicenseSpace: The book Grandpa Nat gives the kids describes sunspots as volcanoes rather than storms, and calls the electromagnetic field part of the earth's atmosphere (it's not). It also says solar particles reach Alaska because the "atmosphere" is thin there. In reality, solar particles affect Alaska because it's located close to the magnetic north pole, where solar particles are drawn down into the earth's actual atmosphere. This ionizes the gases in the atmosphere and causes them to glow.

'''"Turn On the Northern Lights"''': Molly makes it her mission to show Trini the Northern Lights.
----
!!"Turn On the Northern Lights" [[note]]Here, it is simply called 'Northern Lights' because we don't want the URL to be too long[[/note]] contains the following tropes:
* ExhaustedEyeBags: Molly, Tooey and Trini all get eye bags because they stayed up late the previous night.
* FellAsleepStandingUp: Tooey falls asleep standing up during basketball practice. Maurice's whistle startles him awake.
* JustHereForTheFreeSnacks: Tooey only goes to Trini's house for the hot chocolate.
* OwnGoal: During basketball practice, Tooey dunks into a hoop...on the other side of the gym, and not where his team's hoop is. Thank goodness it was just practice.
* PunBasedTitle: The title is a pun on "turn on the lights."
* SlumberParty: Trini has a sleepover with Molly and Tooey so they can see the Aurora Borealis.
* WhatAreRecords: Trini is astonished that Grandpa Nat's rotary phone is a phone at all, since it doesn't text.
* WintryAuroralSky: The gang finally gets to see the northern lights at the end of the episode, and it is the series' greatest demonstration of SceneryPorn.

----
'''"Fiddlesticks"''': Molly is learning to play the fiddle from Oscar, but discovers a passion for the drum.
----
!!"Fiddlesticks" contains the following tropes:
* AnAesop: You should do whatever makes you happy, and you shouldn't feel obligated to do something just because someone wants you to.
* DreadfulMusician: Molly is terrible at playing the fiddle, and it's so bad, that it scares Suki.
* FunWithAcronyms: Oscar comes up with a mnemonic to help Molly learn the fiddle strings - '''G'''ood '''D'''ogs '''A'''lways '''E'''at.
* GamerChick: We learn that Auntie Midge likes to steal Oscar's video games and play them.
* HiddenDepths: Oscar used to play the piano before taking up fiddling.
* NoSocialSkills: Downplayed, but when Molly tries to give Oscar a fist bump, he puts his hand over her fist.
* PunBasedTitle: The s a pun on how Molly finds herself in a predicament involving fiddles. Also, Oscar plays the fiddle, and Molly plays the drums, the latter of which involves drum'''sticks'''.
* RecycledAnimation: The jig dance scene is slightly recycled from "A Splash Of Mink."
* SucksAtDancing: Oscar is not very good at jigging. He likes playing the fiddle better.
