At school, everyone assembles outside in time when the fire alarm goes off, except for Amato and Pian, who went back to look for [=MechaBot=]. The announcer congratulates everyone (else) for their success on the fire drill. Mr. Jamie scolds Amato and Pian, making them examples of what not to do in a fire. As he informs that fires have recently been occurring more frequently across town, Mara recalls a time from back when she could walk...\\
She saw the smoke from a neighbouring apartment block and ran there to help. A mother yelled that her son was still in the burning room, and Mara rushed inside. With the boy in her arms, the debris started to fall around her...

Mara is brought back to reality by Pian, who says she spaced out for a while, but she dismisses it. Pian, Amato, Mara and [=MechaBot=] see a live broadcast at the TV store, featuring witnesses of a recent fire incident, but the reporter's microphone catches fire. Pian finds this happening right behind the building, and they all rush to their aid. As the flames spread rapidly, Amato uses a water container and a plunger for [=MechaBot=] to mechanize into a fire extinguisher, but he weakly spits out water. Mara gets baking soda and vinegar to feed into [=MechaBot=]'s spout, and the sprayed mixture extinguishes the flames. While the citizens thank them, Mara notices oil by the fountain.

A firetruck-like robot arrives, asking where the fires went. He introduces himself as Payapi, a useful fire-fighting robot, who Rubika has no information on. Payapi congratulates them for being heroes like him, but [=MechaBot=] is skeptical. Just as the reporter wishes to interview the new heroes of Kota Hilir, Payapi takes his leave to extinguish another fire which he insists he can take care of on his own, and the news truck follows him. Later, the main cast find several online articles of Payapi's rescues and their own. Mara points out the same oil that appears in each of Payapi's images. A loud thud from outside makes them exit the garage and find more oil right by them.

They follow its trail to the back of Amato's house, and Mara catches a thrown match. Amato overtakes the culprit to ask why he tried to burn his house. Payapi says only he can be Kota Hilir's hero as he transforms into Apayapi, his upgraded form who Rubika ''does'' have information on. As he's about to attack Amato and [=MechaBot=] while they're down, Mara throws an object at his head to get him to stop, and her old memory continues as Apayapi advances towards her... \\
She and the boy held each other tightly as she leaped off a table towards the exit. She threw him ahead of her in a last jump just before the ceiling fell...\\
Amato uses a fire hydrant to mechanize into "Firefighter Mode", finally neutralising the enemy. Pian finds an old article about Mara's rescue, which left her paralysed, and shows it to Amato and [=MechaBot=]. Mara invites them to accompany her home, and they all smile at her.

!!This episode provides examples of:
* BitchInSheepsClothing: Payapi appears as a kindly firefighter robot, but he causes fires to extinguish them for good publicity. At first he congratulates Amato and his friends for putting out a fire, but later he tries to set alight Amato's house.
* DesperateObjectCatch: Mara lunges out of her wheelchair to catch a lit match before it can land in a puddle of oil and set Amato's house ablaze.
* EngineeredHeroics: Payapi secretly sets fires so that he can put them out and be recognized as a hero for it.
* EvilLaugh: Payapi cackles before dropping a lit match to try and set fire to Amato's house.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Apayapi, the enlarged and more apparently evil version of Payapi, has a deeper voice than his default form.
* EyeColourChange: Payapi has InnocentBlueEyes while his upgraded form, Apayapi, has YellowEyesOfSneakiness.
* FlamingHair: Apayapi, the upgraded (and more [[EvilIsBurningHot evil looking]]) form of the firefighter robot Payapi, sports purple flames atop his head.
* HeroicSacrifice: Mara once rescued a child from a fire, and was paralyzed as a result.
* HoverBoard: Amato uses some wooden planks for the board and some cups to form the rockets, then uses the resulting hoverboard to pursue the fleeing Payapi.
* IronicEcho: [=MechaBot=] is quick to flee when he hears that Amato's house would be burned down, prompting Mara to say, "That is one selfish robot." Shortly later, Amato and [=MechaBot=] chase Payapi, who explains that he wanted to burn down Amato's house to get rid of him and become the only hero of Kota Hilir. "That is one selfish robot," says [=MechaBot=], who then realises the irony.
* MaliciousMisnaming: Implied, Payapi calls Amato "Mc Tomato", which the good guys shrug off as another annoying MondegreenGag, but Payapi wants the fire-extinguishing glory all to himself, and not for Amato and his friends to take it.
* SueDonym: Payapi has no records in the space prison data... but his upgraded and more apparently malicious form named Apayapi does. Amato {{lampshade}}s this by asking how Rubika couldn't have figured out the similarity earlier.
* TroubledBackstoryFlashback: When Mara hears that fire incidents are increasing around town, she recalls the incident [[spoiler:when she rescued a child from a fire, a HeroicSacrifice which seized her control of her legs]]. The flashback has two parts, and Mara zones out upon remembering each time.
