A bar fight breaks out at Rosie's bar between Turkish and Greek soldiers, leading to Rosie being injured and unable to work for a week. Hawkeye, Margaret, BJ, and Charles (the last, reluctantly) agree to man Rosie's bar until Rosie recovers, to prevent the place from being looted or destroyed. Meanwhile, Potter believes he's secured a promotion to Captain for Father Mulcahey at last, after the good Father had been passed over several times. However, Father Mulcahey's file goes missing, which leads to a bout of anger and depression, during which he threatens the Greek and Turkish soldiers injured in the bar fight that if they don't stop fighting, he'll fight both of them. Potter, with Klinger's assistance, is determined to push Father Mulcahey's promotion through, so he starts placing calls to find the missing file. In the end, they reach the Pentagon itself, and manage to get him the promotion. The last scene features Hawkeye, BJ, Potter, Charles, Klinger, and Father Mulcahey celebrating in Rosie's bar, with a freshly healed Rosie back at work. The others surprise Father Mulcahey with the news of his promotion, and Hawkeye pins his own captain's bars on Father Mulcahey's collar.

* PoorCommunicationKills: Downplayed. Charles wasn't present when Rosie mentioned needing to bribe Muldoon with liquor to keep the bar open in violation of Army regulations. Naturally, when Muldoon walks in and orders his "coffee," Charles gives him coffee. Muldoon gets angry with Charles over this, but doesn't clarify his intent, even though a new barkeep is there. Charles insults Muldoon in reply, and Muldoon storms off, later returning to close the bar permanently. However, since StatusQuoIsGod, Rosie's is open again in later episodes with no indication it was ever actually shut down.
