Six teenagers by the names of Darius Bowman, Brooklynn, Kenji Kon, Sammy Giuterrez, Ben Pincus and Yasmina Fadoula are invited as the six campers of Camp Cretaceous, part of Jurassic World, although on the opposite site of Isla Nublar. However, when the events of ''Film/JurassicWorld'' occur, the six campers become stranded on the island, with no one to help them. The campers have to get on the ferry before everyone leaves without them, all while being chased by the newly-escaped dinosaurs, some more persistent than others.

The campers didn't make it on the ferry in time, and seemingly lost a member. Now completely on their own, they try their best to send a message to the outside world for help, which seemingly gets picked up by two eco-tourists called Mitch and Tiff, and their guide, Hap. However, as the season progresses, it's becoming more clear that the three adults that saved them are more than they seem, in both the good and bad way. The campers now need to get on the trio's ferry in time, all while trying to stop, outrun and defeat the threats on the island.

The campers have decided to escape on their own, but all their plans fail until they manage to retrieve Mitch and Tiff's ferry. Now having a way to escape, the campers are gathering resources, but it turns out a new threat is loose on the island, escaping from the cryogenic chamber it was frozen in. However, the creature is so unnatural and unpredictable that it causes the dinosaurs to completely change their behaviour.
