* StupidEvil: The Magisters are so paranoid about outsiders learning of their existence that they decide Jackie [[HeKnowsTooMuch knows too much]] just because he saw them in their robes. Despite him insisting he doesn't know anything of value, they keep chasing him and Jade, which causes the two to decide to learn more and thwart the Magisters' plans for real.

Added DiffLines:

* ShaggyDogStory: A villainous example; the whole episode works towards the Magisters putting their master plan in motion, and the protagonists failing to stop them, only for the whole plan to fall apart at the last moment when it is revealed Stonehenge wasn't some magic superweapon after all.

* YouAreTooLate: Despite their best efforts, and even with Uncle helping them through the phone, Jackie and Jade are ultimately unable to prevent the Magisters from putting their plan in motion and activate Stonehenge. It is only because they turn out to be wrong about Stonehenge's true purpose that their plan is still thwarted. Had they been right, they would have won.

Added DiffLines:

* AllMythsAreTrue: For once notably averted; the Magisters fully believe Stonehenge to be some ancient, magic superweapon, but this is proven to be false, [[SpannerInTheWorks which ruins their plan]].

It was Jade who said "magisters" in front of the cop, not Jackie.

* DirtyCop: Jackie and Jade come across a British cop and tell him they're being chased. As soon as Jackie says "magisters", the cop tells them not to say anymore and they're safe now, orders them to sit in his squad car. Then he handcuffs them together and the camera shows he's wearing a ring with the magisters insignia on it.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: The Magisters accuse Jackie of this even when he doesn't and the few things he does know came from them. Played straight later, when he decides researching the Magisters might ironically be the only way out of this mess.
* LightIsNotGood: The Magisters wear white robes and can summon lightning with their hands and are an evil cult wishing to start a new dark age starting with London.
* MonumentalTheft: The Magisters were behind Stonehenge's disappearance.
* PoliceAreUseless: Jackie calls Captain Black for help, but as soon as he says "magic", Captain Black cuts him off and says his superiors are listening in to his phone calls then hangs up.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: The Magisters are stopped by some British military soldiers who Jackie calls "the proper authorities".
* StandardAlienSpaceship: One appears at the end approaching Stonehenge implying one of Jackie's theories of it being a landing site for alien space ships is correct.
* TechnologicallyBlindElders: Uncle and his new fax machine. When Jackie and Jade try to fax him the Magister insignia, he picks up the phone and when he sees the insignia, believes the device is possessed by evil magic and has Tohru cleanse it. Despite this, he's able to use the fax machine to transfer a chi spell which Jackie lampshades.
