!!Post-Magical Street Chapter Summary

!!!Chapter 94: Dream Date
Ameri meets up with Iruma at Lady Levi's "Aqua Case" water park for their date. Using an ultimate date plan notebook that she crafted, Ameri aims for a great date using references from "First Love Memories." The first step goes off without a hitch sightseeing through the aquarium portion of the park, but the plan to hold hands with Iruma fails when she realizes that she's only able to grab the upper part of his arm while they walk due to their major height difference. They next try out the water slide, but her plan for Iruma to hold onto her while they slide gets reversed with her ending up in the back. They also quickly go through the slide and crash down into the pool before Ameri even has a chance of keeping hold of Iruma to try to make his heart flutter.

The two of them continue partaking in events around the water park, but Ameri is never able to experience that truly romantic part of a date. Iruma asks if she's having fun hoping that she's finally getting some time to relax after all the work she's had to do as the student council president, which Ameri happily states she is. However, she still hasn't given up on experiencing a romantic moment with Iruma. The two of them next decide to watch a fortune telling show where a massive water creature named Mako-chan is said to have tactile divination abilities. However, due to Iruma playing in the water washing off the perfume that he wears to mask his human scent, Mako-chan notices this, and grabs hold of Iruma. He's saved by an enraged Ameri punching Mako-chan away before it's able to eat Iruma, but the result is Ameri feeling gloomy that the date ended up being the worst.

Following the show, a worried Iruma notices that Ameri's leg got scratched by Mako-chan, and that they should go and get it treated. Ameri sees this as potential for a romantic event, and tries to ask Iruma to carry her despite not believing that the much smaller Iruma is strong enough. However, since Iruma's been practicing spells leading into the second school semester, he uses the same "fractal" spell that he learned earlier to make Ameri weightless, and proceeds to hold her up in the form of a princess carry. Finally experiencing a romantic moment with Iruma, the blushing Ameri becomes extremely happy believing this to be the best date ever. She then squeezes Iruma tightly while claiming that her leg hurts; wanting Iruma to princess carry her even longer.

Jumping forward to the final day of semester break, Ameri finishes up getting ready for her date with Iruma, such as taking with her a bag of notebooks detailing many romantic date notes. Iruma arrives at Lady Levi's "Aqua Case" leisure park, which is basically a water park, for the date, and is left staring in amazement at how huge the place is. Looking around, Iruma is surprised to find that the underworld has aquariums like the human world. He arrives at the spot where he was supposed to meet up with Ameri, but when she arrives, he's stunned to see her in a swimsuit. She asks why he's not in his swimsuit, which Iruma, who up to this point believed that Aqua Case was just an aquarium, finally realizes that the glass cases all around him is also a giant pool for demons to swim in. In return, Ameri is surprised to see that he didn't know.
\\\
As Iruma looks around in amazement realizing he's actually at a water park, Ameri is glad to see that the date is off to a great start. She opens up her Ultimate Date Plan notebook, which uses references from "First Love Memories" and tourist guides to put together the plan for today. She thinks over how everything from fun to romance is covered, and expects to have a great day with Iruma. Aiming to make the plan succeed, she points Iruma in a direction to begin their date, which Iruma, now dressed in his swimsuit, accepts. The two of them first walk along a bubble tunnel through a demon fish tank. Looking around at the different demon fish, Iruma remains amazed that he's experiencing walking underwater, which Ameri tries to go along with claiming that the view is pretty. Looking to her notes, she begins the next phase of her plan, which is holding hands with her date. Ameri views it as a basic action of dating as it happened in "First Love Memories."
\\\
Despite struggling to keep calm, Ameri pulls through and goes to grab Iruma's hand. However, she ends up just grabbing Iruma's arm, much to their confusion. Ameri quickly apologizes and wonders to herself why their hands ended up so far apart. She thinks over how she knew from the start that he was small, but didn't realize that there was this much of a difference. Thus, she shocks herself believing that the problem isn't Iruma, but that she, herself, is just too huge. Ameri starts to fall apart trembling over how she didn't realize that she was so tall that she wouldn't be able to reach his hand. However, Iruma's attention is suddenly brought to the park's water slide. Iruma asks the employee about it, which the latter explains that he can slide down the tube while riding on the water-loving bau-kun demon fish that the park provides.
\\\
Ameri's spirits are brightened back up seeing that this is the moment where the boy holds the girl while they're sliding, and that their hearts will start to pound. As they get on the bau-kun however, Ameri is left in confusion when she realizes that the roles are reversed with her somehow ended up in the back. As they slide, Ameri figures that she can fix this as long as she remains close to him for their hearts to start pounding, but she never gets the chance to do so due to the bau-kun already crashing into the pool upon exiting the slide. After swimming over to the edge of the pool, Ameri notes how surprising the speed of the bau-kun was, which Iruma agrees with. Iruma waves goodbye to the bau-kun, but Ameri is left disappointed that she missed her chance. Refusing to give up, Ameri points Iruma towards the next event hoping to eventually find the one true romantic place.
\\\
Iruma and Ameri partake in several more water park events where Ameri hopes to create that romantic moment seen in her notes that will make their hearts flutter. However, the splash fight and the water volleyball games end up being hard on Iruma, and when they try out the "pair eats ice cream" event, they're turned off by the dessert being a weird assortment of living demon ingredients. She next tries to bring Iruma to the water park souvenir shop only for the items to be not cute at all. Ameri remains turned off, but Iruma sees this as a chance to get souvenirs for Clara, Azz, Opera, and Sullivan, which causes the blushing Ameri's heart to melt seeing Iruma's cuteness as he looks through the plushie toys. Ameri then tries herself to look through the plushies, but is not able to understand what toys Iruma would like.
\\\
Seeing Ameri struggling, Iruma is left wondering if she's having fun. He thinks over how Ameri's always someone leading the students as the student council president, and that because she's always working hard, the least she could get in return is a day to relax properly, such as today. Wanting to support her, Iruma asks Ameri if the water park has been fun. In return, she excitedly states that she is, which leaves an impact on Iruma. However, Ameri thinks over that while she's indeed having fun, it's still not enough since her ambition is a romantic relationship with Iruma. Ameri continues thinking that while she can't have him carrying her like a princess, the least she should be getting done is getting to the point of holding hands. Believing that she will get it next time, Ameri and Iruma head over to watch the Bau-bau fortune telling show from the audience.
\\\
The speaker employee for the show introduces Mako-chan, a massive crocodile-like bau-bau demon known for its tactile divination. The employee also mentions how Mako-chan tends to eat a lot, but is currently on a diet. However, Mako-chan starts sniffing around having caught onto something interesting. As Iruma and Ameri watch the show, Ameri thinks to herself how the show is the last chance for her to create a romantic mood. She turns to Iruma to point out how similiar Mako-chan is to him both being big eaters only to become confused when she sees Mako-chan suddenly picking up Iruma by the shirt. Mako-chan then raises its head while holding Iruma by its mouth getting ready to eat him, which the shocked speaker yells for Mako-chan to stop. One member of the audience questions if Mako-chan's actions is because it had enough of the diet, but the speaker makes it clear that Mako-chan doesn't eat demons. As a result, Iruma realizes that getting wet in the pool earlier probably washed away the perfume he's always been using to mask his human scent.
\\\
Mako-chan then puts Iruma into its hand, and opens its mouth to throw him in; causing Iruma to fear that he's about to be eaten. However, an enraged Ameri yells at Mako-chan what its doing to Iruma, and proceeds to punch Mako-chan into the air, much to the shock of the employee speaker and the audience. Ameri then catches Iruma asking if he's okay, which he answers that he is. The audience then goes about cheering in amazement having witnessed what looked like a prince saving the princess, which leaves Iruma and Ameri stunned. Following the show, Ameri is left depressed by how things turned out from her body moving on impulse while Iruma remains content that the park employees were nice enough to hand him a one-year apology pass. Ameri thinks over how this has turned out to be the worst date ever as Iruma must think that she's a huge aggressive woman. However, Iruma begins to worry when he sees that Ameri now has a bleeding cut on her leg.
\\\
Ameri notes that it must have been a scratch caused by one of Mako-chan's scales. As a result, Iruma claims that they should get the leg treated, and asks if Ameri is able to walk, which catches Ameri's attention. She shyly asks Iruma if he could carry her if she said that she really couldn't walk, which Ameri stuns herself unable to believe that she actually said such a thing to Iruma. Ameri struggles to correct herself realizing that she messed up knowing that the smaller Iruma won't be able to pick up someone as big as her. However, Iruma states that he will do it, much to her surprise. Iruma states that he's glad now that he's been practicing, and asks Ameri to leave this to him. Thus, he casts the same "fractal" spell that Sullivan showed him during the shopping trip on Ameri to make her light-weight, and proceeds to pick her up in the style of a princess carry; causing Ameri to blush having finally gotten her romantic moment.
\\\
As he walks, Iruma claims that while the moment is embarrassing, he will be sure to carry her properly. Ameri thinks over how she's unable to handle Iruma when he pulls stuff like this. However, she starts to laugh it off now firmly believing that this is the best date ever. She then grabs hold of Iruma even tighter, much to his confusion. Ameri states that her leg hurts, which freaks out Iruma asking if she'll be alright. Her plan however is to have Iruma princess carry her even longer, which Ameri orders him to carry her to the bench on the park's 2nd floor, much to his shock due to how far of a walk that is.
