[[folder:'''Long Cannonball Execution Arc Summary''']]
Within the Chairman's office, Iruma asks his grandfather for special training in order to be able to fight on his own against powerful demons in the upcoming "Cannonball Execution" exam. In return, Sullivan teaches Iruma a special technique that will allow his grandson to throw the ball properly as long as he says the casting word "Ribera." Iruma follows the instructions and says "Ribera" while throwing the ball. The Ring of Gluttony activates and to Iruma's shock, he fires off a powerful magic in the form of a dragon-head that takes the ball up to the sky.
\\\
Iruma doesn't agree with the spell usage believing that it feels like cheating using his grandfather's magic that's stored in the ring rather than his own ability. Sullivan is impressed by the answer, which he instead just applies a bit of magic to his grandson's hands so that Iruma can fight for himself. Sullivan then steps aside for someone that can provide Iruma the necessary training, which turns out to be the butler, Opera.
\\\
Despite Iruma's high evasion skills, Opera's training turns out to be really harsh and hard to keep up with given that Opera is using his demonic strength for each throw. Thus, Iruma ends up tired and injured after every practice. Opera explains that it's important for Iruma to learn how to catch as well, which the butler goes about teaching Iruma the proper sight and standing techniques for catching. Azu and Clara eventually join in on the training as well impressed by Iruma's motivation to train. Eventually, Iruma is able to take Opera's words and training to heart, and finally manages to catch one of the balls thrown by the butler. Sullivan then shows up to check on Iruma's progress, which Opera answers that the boy's ready.
\\\
Some time after, the day of the "Cannonball Execution" ranking exam arrives. The students of the Abnormal Class all meet with Kalego in the school's underground gym, which the teacher explains the rules. "Cannonball Execution" for the most part follows the rules of dodgeball with one notable exception. The exception being that players are allowed to use their magic on the ball. Kalego also adds that rank evaluation after the game will be proportional to a student's current demon rank. An example being that since Asmodeus is as high as Rank 4 (Daleth), he will be judged based on if he performed better than said rank.
\\\
The Abnormal students are then split up between two teams, which to Iruma and Azu's surprise, they've been sorted into separate teams. Overall, Team-A consists of Iruma, Clara, Sabnock, Jazz, the student that lays on a cloud, and the tall female demon. For Team-B, said team consists of Asmodeus, Kerori, Purson, the owl-head student, the lion-head student, and wind-sword student, and the gamer student. Asmodeus tries to complain that the grouping is wrong, but Kalego explains that this split was necessary to keep the strength between the two teams even.
\\\
The "Cannonball Execution" exam begins, and Team-B starts with the ball. They dicuss not to go for Iruma giving his evasion skills, but Azu is off on his own wondering how he can help Iruma from the opposing side. Team-B is then suddenly caught off-guard when they realize that Team-A's Jazz used his power to steal the ball away. Jazz then provides the ball to teammate Sabnock, who then uses his absurd strength to throw the ball hard at Kerori of Team-B. Kerori attempts to block the ball using her magic to summon up an ice pillar, but it's unable to hold back Sabnock's strength and breaks through. The ball hits off Kerori, but she's saved from being knocked out when the owl teammate catches it. Despite the owl demon's heroics, his perverted antics take over and he provides the ball back to the opposing team's tall female demon, which angers his teammates.
\\\
The ball ends up on the ground, which Clara uses her duplicating ability to get the ball lost amongst a bunch of other fake balls. The cloud student, having become annoyed by all the noise, uses his power to raise the ground up; resulting in all the balls going flying. Thanks to his sight training, Iruma is able to grab hold of the real ball when he spots it flying in the air. Unfortunately, he doesn't know what to do next since he never practiced how to throw the ball. The sight of Iruma's confusion leaves his classmates believing that he's preparing something big. Sabnock then congratulates Iruma for proving his worth as a rival, and takes over as the one to throw the ball. He throws the ball towards Azu, who's still lost in thought regarding how he can help Iruma. Azu easily catches the ball with one hand, and angrily throws it back at Sabnock. The ball ends up landing in the outfield, which rules Sabnock out. As a result, Team-A takes this as a sign that they should avoid trying to hit Azu.
\\\
As the game goes on, it eventually reaches the point where only two remain on the infield, Iruma of Team-A and Azu of Team-B. Iruma made it to the end given his dodging ability and Azu made it due to being the strongest. Azu ends up with the ball, but he finally catches on that he's left with just facing Iruma after being lost in thought throughout the whole match. He's happy to realize that all he has to do at this point is lose on purpose by handing the ball and win over to Iruma. However, seeing Iruma looking serious causes Asmodeus to realize that he's currently being an idiot for not doing the same, and has been ignoring Iruma's efforts. Azu ends up disappointed in himself that he wasn't taking Iruma's feelings into account at all, which results in Azu finally getting serious. His fire-power explodes having decided to honor his etiquette as a demon to use his full power against Iruma, which Iruma is prepared to try to catch the ball. Azu encases the ball with his fire-magic ready to go all out throwing a ball of fire at Iruma.
\\\
Meanwhile, Ameri is seen making her way down to the underground gym with her Student Council subordinates in order to watch the Abnormal Class' "Cannonball Execution" exam. One subordinate asks if it's to see if Asmodeus is a worthy candidate for the council, which Ameri answers that there's actually something that might be even more interesting. Back to the exam, the Abnormal Class is hyped seeing that what they're witnessing is basically a rematch of Iruma and Azu's duel during the entrance ceremony. Azu throws his fire-enhanced ball at Iruma, who remembers back to a bit of wisdom that Opera told him during training. The butler explains that fear equals humiliation for demons, which is a belief from the old wars. Demons have had to survive competing in the demon rankings since birth. As a result, the party that fears the other is usually the one who suffers defeat. Opera answers that to overcome the moment before a situation becomes dire, it's to turn fear into excitement.
\\\
In the present, Iruma decides to follow Opera's words. He runs straight at Azu much to the shock of his classmates. Burning his hands, Iruma manages to grab Azu's powerfully thrown fire-enhanced ball, but struggles to maintain its strength and begins to lose hold of it. Iruma then comes up with a solution and begins to spin his body. The flames begin to swirl around him, and it turns out that Iruma's plan is to reverse the throw back at Azu. Iruma then throws the fire-enhanced ball back at Azu, and manages to strike the demon's right shoulder. The result is Kalego announcing that the winner is Team-A.
\\\
The Abnormal Class congratulates Iruma for his win while Azu is satisfied that he was no match for Iruma despite doing his best. However, the class congratulates Azu for showing off his power as well. Having been watching the exam unfold, Kalego caught on that Iruma was able to position himself and judge the distance to use Asmodeus' power for his own and delivered an effective counter-attack. As a result, he concludes that Iruma showed good judgement in dodging and attack techniques.
\\\
Kalego throws a small object to Iruma while warning the boy that there will be grave consequences for both sides if he finds out that Asmodeus let him win. He announces that Iruma is hereby promoted to Rank 2 (Beth), which Iruma is now holding a badge with the Beth symbol. Iruma is excited that he succeeded in increasing his rank. The classmates feel that Iruma's efforts deserve at least Rank 3 (Gimel), which annoys Kalego. The teacher fires back that the rest of the class should also be taking things more seriously.
\\\
Ameri then appears and congratulates Iruma for what he accomplished. She explains that she watched the winning throw, and admits that Iruma seems like a different person compared to the other day. Iruma admits that he never expected to have this kind of feeling doing his best for his own sake. In return, Ameri explains that this is the kind of feeling you get when you have a strong will that can triumph over suffering and barriers. She points out that said feeling is ambition, which ends up confusing Iruma. Ameri adds that a fighting spirit that always achieves is ambition, and congratulates Iruma once more for taking a huge step towards it.
\\\
At home, Iruma shows off his newly ranked Beth badge to Opera and Sullivan. Opera questions if he really managed to do it safely while Sullivan congratulates his grandson. Iruma also points out that Azu apologized for needing to get serious, but states that he ended up having fun thanks to the special training. Iruma thanks Opera for the special training, which surprises Opera, and makes it clear that the butler and the boy have formed a bond. Meanwhile, Sullivan is shocked to find Iruma not thanking him, and realizes in horror that he did nothing for his grandson. He cries out that this is cheating as Iruma happily heads off to bed.

After the exam, Clara signs up for Lime's succubus seduction class to learn how to seduce Iruma, but ends up failing to enchant him due to her lack of sex appeal. Despite the failure, Clara's sex appeal rises a tad in the end after hearing that Iruma sees her as a girl.

\\\
At the start of another school day, Iruma, Azu and Clara are seen picking out their classes for school, such as some required subjects being Familiar Interaction and Astrology. In addition, some of the electives that can be taken include Torture Studies, Practical Skills, Pharmaceuticals, and Classroom Lecture. Iruma had decided on simply taking the Classroom Lecture as his elective since he doesn't have to move, and is still too tired after dealing with the "Cannonball Execution" exam. However, it comes as a surprise to Iruma and Azu when they see that Clara is choosing to take the Succubus Seduction Class (for girls only) as her elective. Azu believes Clara is scheming something, which Clara struggles to deny. The story flashes back to a moment where Clara was playing with Sabnock three days ago. Clara explains her issue that she's annoyed how Makka (Ameri) has been playing with Iruma. In return, Sabnock suggests that the best method for demons to get their man back is to seduce them.
\\\
Desiring to one day enthrall Iruma, Clara takes part in the Seduction Class along with many other female demon students. The Succubus lecturer, Lime, introduces herself to her students. Lime explains how the most important element her students will need to learn and cultivate is their eros, which is basically one's eroticness. She continues to explain that Succubi can change their appearance to match their partner's preference, but also points out that the most important thing of all is technique. One student asks if the teacher means at night, which Lime answers that that's a lesson for an advanced class. The Abnormal owl-student objects to such a statement claiming that such a richly flavorful lesson is needed right away to raise demon capacity. However, Lime quickly throws the owl-student out of her class for being a male in a girls-only class.
\\\
Next, Lime uses her Ero-scope ability that Succubi have to measure the eros of her students, which the lowest she's ever seen is a 21% ero rating. Amongst the Abnormal Class students, the tall beautiful female demon has 89% ero rating, which Lime grades a wonderful Textbook-A. Meanwhile, Kerori has 51% ero rating, which is rated a pretty low Textbook-B. Upon checking Clara's eros however, Lime is stunned in shock to realize that Clara has just a measly 2% ero rating. She can't believe that Clara is purer than a baby, which usually have at least a 3% ero rating. When Lime hands out her students textbooks about seduction, she gives Clara a special "Seduction for Dummies" book due to Clara's horribly low ero rating.
\\\
Ready to seduce Iruma, Clara follows the steps of "Seduction for Dummies." She tries the basic posing, touching, wearing frilly clothes, and putting on perfume and make-up. However, Clara is so innocent that all of her seduction attempts either end up in disaster, or come off to Iruma like Clara is trying to play with him. Lime is shown to have been watching Clara's efforts through a demon that provides video-footage. In the end, Lime claims that Clara is not cut out for seduction since the girl can't even progress past the beginner level. However, she notices that Clara really wants to make Iruma fall for her, which Lime provides a possible secret weapon in the form of a Succubus Brand Aphrodisiac Perfume. Lime explains that it will make any man fall for the user, and offers it to Clara, but she's surprised to see Clara walk out claiming she doesn't need it.
\\\
Sitting on the ground, Clara remains alone in silence realizing that she has no sex appeal whatsoever, and worries that Iruma will be taken from her. She recalls Lime's words that she's not cut out for being a succubus, and pouts trying to assure herself that she doesn't need the secret weapon. Iruma then finds Clara, and states that he was worried about her since Clara always wanders off when he's not watching. Clara admits she doesn't know what she's doing, which Iruma surprises her when he says that it's dangerous for a "girl" to be alone. Being called a girl excites Clara. She asks if Iruma really sees her as a girl, which Iruma admits he does. The result is Clara being even more happy. Having a mature look to her, Clara announces before Iruma that she will one day have Iruma enchanted by her. She then pulls Iruma along claiming that Azu is probably worried about them. Nearby, Lime spots Clara getting along with Iruma. She uses Ero-scope on Clara and is confused as to how the girl has suddenly risen up to 10% ero rating.
