Critical Research Failure is a disambiguation page

* CriticalResearchFailure: Some of the earlier seasons of ''Seared'' features Aaron Tarr, a food scientist who analyzes the dishes that the contestants make, with him analyzing Daniel Owen's sacha inchi steak to apparently contain ''800g of sodium, 6.5g of saturated fat, and 14g of sugar''. Daniel protested those numbers were fake, only to be humiliated by both Aaron and Gregory and kicked off the show. Pamela Simmons also claims that his research is bunk. She's not wrong, as Sarah reveals that Aaron's research that he revealed during his appearance on ''Seared'' doesn't support any of the claims he's made in his publications. Even his findings on sacha inchi point to the exact opposite of what he published and that his conclusions would actually require long-term studies which couldn't have been completed yet. [[spoiler:He was paid to falsify his research by Chef Gregory for publicity purposes]].

* AccidentalMurder: [[spoiler:What Molly tries to paint her killing of Aaron as. She claims to have went to his office looking to expose his lies and set the story straight for Daniel, only to find him not there. When he came back, the two of them got into a fight that ended in Molly accidentally bludgeoning Aaron to death with a fire extinguisher. However, Charlie points out that what with everything else she did afterward (cutting off Aaron's thumb and planting it in Chef Gregory's beef wellington, burying Aaron's body in Chef Dave's garden, and framing Gregory, Dave and Pamela for the murder), it is very unlikely that anyone will buy what she did was an accident]].
* TheAtoner: [[spoiler:After the case is solved, Chef Gregory is mentioned to have owned up to his purchasing of cocaine and invites the SJPD to a fundraiser where he and Pamela are serving dishes to raise money for victims of substance abuse like Daniel]].
