Giardello and the rest of the Homicide unit [[Recap/HomicideLifeOnTheStreetS6E22FallenHeroesPartOne make good on his vow to declare war on the Mahoney family in retaliation for Junior Bunk shooting up the squad]]. They go after all Mahoney's men, and find Georgia Rae dead, but not before one of them shoots Bayliss. Stivers comes clean to Giardello about [[Recap/HomicideLifeOnTheStreetS5E19Deception Kellerman shooting Luther]], and Falsone and Pembleton eventually get Kellerman to confess. This proves to be the last straw for Pembleton, as he decides to resign from the squad.
