[[Recap/HomicideLifeOnTheStreetS4E2FirePartTwo After deciding to accept Giardello's offer to become part of the Homicide Unit]], Kellerman gets paired together with Lewis, and the two of them have to solve the shooting of an elderly woman at a bus stop. They get help from Brodie (Creator/MaxPerlich), a news cameraman who happened to shoot footage of the killers. The entire squad has to move across the street to an abandoned bank after a gas leak, leaving everybody out of sorts. Having passed the sergeant's exam with flying colors, Howard gets promoted to sergeant, and starts butting heads with Lewis (who thinks Howard is overstepping her bounds) and Russert (who thinks Howard needs to use a more subtle approach).
