* TheAssimilator: According to Da'an, ten million years ago, the Kimera infiltrated the Taelon race and used a genetic virus to assimilate them into the Kimera. The modern Taelons are the result. It's all a lie, though. The Taelons did indeed change, but only because they were dying and the Kimera helped them.

An ancient pod is found deep underwater. The pod contains an EnergyBeing known as Ha'gel. The Taelons reveal that the Kimera, Ha'gel's people, betrayed the Taelons and are not to be trusted. However, in truth, the Kimera helped the Taelons and were themselves betrayed and driven to extinction by them. Ha'gel takes on the appearance of various humans and attempts to produce a human-Kimera hybrid but to no avail. Agent Beckett discovers the Resistance base but is then impregnated by Ha'gel in the form of Sandoval. Boone manages to convince Ha'gel that they're on the same side, but when the cops burst in and Ha'gel turns to kill them, Boone shoots the Kimera, vaporizing him, while Ha'gel's hand blasts deal serious damage to Boone.

Boone. While he's in a healing tank, Boone is vaporized by Zo'or.

Added DiffLines:

* DoYouWantToCopulate: Beckett openly talks to Sandoval about wanting to sleep with him. When he points out that, as implants, their duty is to the Taelons, she counters that duty doesn't eliminate the physical urges. He suggests that Boone may be more to her liking.

* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Zo'or vaporizes Boone, who is in a healing tank after Ha'gel's attack.
* EnergyBeing: Ha'gel is a Kimera, who exists as energy unless he copies a human. In fact, when he copies them, he does this down to their DNA. In distant past, the Kimera helped the dying Taelon race. The Taelons repaid them by driving the Kimera to extinction.
* HandBlast: Ha'gel can emit deadly beams of energy from his palms.
* HealingVat: Boone is in one after being seriously hurt by Ha'gel. Apparently, the tank has a "vaporize" feature, since that's what Zo'or does to him, seeing an opportunity to remove the nuisance.
* LastOfHisKind: Ha'gel is the last of the Kimera. His primary goal in the episode is to reproduce.
* MutualKill: In a way. Boone and Ha'gel shoot one another. Ha'gel is vaporized, while Boone is seriously hurt. Boone is placed in a HealingVat, and Zo'or takes the opportunity to get rid of him, permanently.
* WhamShot: Zo'or vaporizing Boone in a healing tank.
