This seems like a questionable example; while Jeff might not actually be a VILLAIN strictly speaking, he\'s still very clearly in the wrong.

* DesignatedVillain: The group temporarily kicks Jeff out for going to Chang and getting only himself a free pass from homework. While that may sound bad on Jeff's part, keep in mind that the group threatened to kick him out if he didn't try to convince Chang to call off the essay, even with Jeff's reasonable reluctance to talk to their crazy teacher. Then they proceed to just sit back and let Jeff take care of all of it, so it's quite easy to see why Chang would only give Jeff special treatment seeing as how he's the only one jumping through hoops to try to please him. That said, Jeff didn't ''have'' to take Chang up on his offer at everyone else's expense, it's made clear that Jeff is the most likely person to be able to successfully convince Chang to back off a bit, and it's suggested that he's otherwise not been pulling his weight in the study group while benefiting from everyone else's hard work, so he's not exactly in the right; it's understandable why they'd be feeling pissed off and betrayed with him.
