While Mr. Grouper is at a dentist appointment, Mr. Grumpfish fills in for him. Problems arise when this grouchy substitute teacher claims he does not like anything. So, the Bubble Guppies recap on the best songs from Season 1 and show him that there are things to like.

* MusicalNumberAnnoyance: Each time the Guppies want to teach Mr. Grumpfish about something, they say “Let’s sing about it!”. Mr. Grumpfish quickly catches on to this, and the next time they introduce him to a new topic he asks in his grumpy way “Are you gonna sing about it?”. They do.
* OutSick: Since Mr. Grouper is out at a dentist appointment, Mr. Grumpfish fills in as the Guppies’ substitute teacher.
* ParrotExpoWhat: When Mr. Grumpfish tells the class that he’s their substitute teacher, Deema says “Substi-what?”.
** Mr. Grumpfish also does this later in the episode when Noni tells him about dinosaur fossils and he asks, “Dinosaur what?”.
* ShapedLikeItself: Mr. Grumpfish doesn’t like rain because it’s too wet and colors because they’re too colorful.
